Last month I had a trip to Florida. There was this transvestite in the plan, very serious and classy. She was sitting beside an apparently married man in the first classy. She was really acting normal and seems very serious....but this didn't hold people, especially the three guys who were sitting in front of me, to laugh at her and making jokes. They made so much loud noise that it got my and other passengers attention to the transvestite. She still remained calm and ignore all the negative noise about herself....but her neighbor, the married man was looking so embarrassed to be sitting beside her. He was pooling himself aside and trying to get more distance with the transvestite!

What i am trying to say is: If we don't post this kind of videos and we don't laugh at those people in term of comic dancing and theater or movies ....etc., this will not become a habit for us to laugh at them, each time we encounter a real face in our real life! There, we will do respect those people, as you asked for.

Here in Montreal, there are so many gays who live normally with another man. They are serious guys, some of them have also children from a past marriage. We know them, we work with them and got used to see them as "normal" human being.

When I see this kind of vulgar video, it make me feel sorry for ourselves. This is so outdated to post a transvestite dancing video in the front page to get the attention of the readers who mostly live abroad and usually should have been already used to see this phenomena.

What is interesting in that video? Can you tell me?

We don't live in 60's, this is the 21st century we live in.

We should not even have this discussion about the "respect" for the transvestite in this site, here in the North America!

Dear Souri: Anticipating a flurry of condemnatory comments ...

by reader1 on

... directed at this poor guy, I could not help but to be the first to post. What I meant to say is that you and I, as mainstream heterosexual man and woman are NOT, by any means,  blessed by God or nature to be what we are. We are what we are, the product of our genes, our culture and the society in which we brought up. Imagine how difficult life would be for this poor guy or guys like him in our beloved country – suppressed, denigrated and laughed at  through no fault of their own. He may well be a respected professional living and working next door to you – you do not know. Our demographic is no different from that of a civilized country like Holland in terms of percentage of people who are homosexual, transsexual, transgendered, etc. I have no doubt you are a compassionate lady and as such would have feeling and respect for people from all walks of life especially those who are suppressed because of their belief, race, colour and sexual orientation.

different strokes for different folks

by hamsade ghadimi on

i agree with reader1: once we accept people that are different from the "mainstream," whether they're religious minority, transgendered, speak a different language, and the list goes on..., then we have become a "more" civilized nation.  the current regime in iran is intolerant to all of these "different" people.

i also agree with gilani: gilani, you forgot the soft porn material that is sporadically featured on this site.

Roozbeh_Gilani

As ridiculous it is, not the most ridiculous post on this site.

by Roozbeh_Gilani on

Let me give you a few recent candidates by subjects (excuse if I get the title wrong): 1)We are Aryans, but not blonde, why? 2)Iran's defence industry will kick USA's ass! 3)Let's expose anybody who dares to disagree with the principals of velayate faghih as a Jew, Zionist American! The list goes on....

it is none of my business

by iamfine on

What people do in their private life is none of my business. But to bring it into the society and try push their life style on others is not acceptable. As Souri said " people unfortunately will laugh at that person.

Souri

What do you mean?

by Souri on

Dear reader1,

I didn't get your point.
Do you think by posting this kind of videos, we are actually "starting to respect people like him" ?

Or we are just contributing to the world of "sex business" ?

By posting this kind of videos, we are just exposing "people like him" in a more ridiculous way!

Don't you think so?

what is the purpose of showing this video to the people? Isn't that for making them laugh at that person? His way of dancing like a girl?

Is that called "respect" ?

Sponsor him for an immigrant visa

JJ

Now that you are no longer in the Bay Area you should file a petition for him on behalf of Iranian.com to move to the Castro District and manage the entertainment section for your site. He might actually prove to have better taste in choosing materials to be posted. Then you can move to Guadalajara for good.

You only post for clicks. You don't care what you post as long as it brings clicks to your site.

Good luck to him ...

by reader1 on

The moment we as a nation start respecting people like him for what they are we will become a civilised nation.
