A statement issued after a meeting of foreign ministers rejected Iran's "continuing interference" in the internal affairs of the six members of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). "The (foreign affairs ministers meeting) severely condemned Iranian interference in the internal affairs of Bahrain which is in violation of international pacts," the statement said. Shi'ite Iran has criticised Saudi Arabia for sending troops to Bahrain which faces protests by majority Shi'ites against the island state's Sunni ruling family >>>

by asadabad on Tue Apr 05, 2011 12:33 PM PDTThese Bahraini Shia would still be better off living under Sunni hegemony than going independent or accepting Iranian tutelage. This is the way kingdoms work. I like the GCC honesty. They call themselves kings, princes, dictators in perptuity etc. They don't try to sugarcoat anything by calling themselves "supreme leaders" or "representatives of God" or "presidents".
Iranians reject IRI also.. so what?
