Part of an installation
by Ari Siletz on Tue Apr 19, 2011 06:19 PM PDTSo this video by itself is not the complete experience.
However, Jamali has said about portraits in general, "...my particular concern is to reveal the paradoxes and ambiguities behind eyes of the portrait’s subject who tries to communicate essential emotions, arrest attention, and often expresses feelings of both attraction and repulsion."
So I viewed the video just staring at the eyes, leaving the clothing to peripheral vision. Suddenly the face became animated and talkative.
JJ is right: mesmerizing! What a hangover though!
It seems so hard and time consuming

by پندارنیک on Tue Apr 19, 2011 03:38 PM PDTIt's a kinda familiar scene for a zan-zalil husband who keeps saying "you look great honey," while she goes back and changes for the zillionth time...all that for a simple dinner party at a friend or family member's house!

by Mash Ghasem on Tue Apr 19, 2011 11:35 AM PDTafter the first two minutes it kinda hurt my eyes. Great concept, great choice of poetry. Below is a link to Forough's poems sang in songs. All the way at the bottom, fourth one is Feraidon Farokhzad singing Kasi Keh Msl Hichkas Nist.
