Wow, now Afhans are talking down to us.
by عموجان on Tue Aug 30, 2011 11:48 PM PDTThis was Funny; I like the ending (no goodbye or thanks). Good thing for IR people in Iran only watch Mahvare.
What if some day Iranian has to go to Afghanistan look for works; at list we both speak Farsi.
Good one,
by RostamZ on Tue Aug 30, 2011 08:58 PM PDTNow you know what everyone thinks of IR.

BBC INTERVIEWER'S ATTITUDE SAYS A LOT:
by G. Rahmanian on Tue Aug 30, 2011 06:29 PM PDTBBC INTERVIEWER'S ATTITUDE SAYS A LOT about how some people pose questions only expecting to hear what they have in mind. She rudely asked the gentleman whether he condoned the riots, trying to put words in his mouth. The likes of her grow up in democracies without having any clue what freedom of speech really means!
Shifteh Ansari, there is a HUGE difference.
by ghalam-doon on Tue Aug 30, 2011 06:05 PM PDTYou cannot compare what happened on BBC with what happens on Iranian TV on a daily basis. As far as I know, BBC issued a formal apology for the despicable act of the woman interviewer toward a prominent member of the British black community.
No doubt Western media and in particular American Networks are far from what is desirable but they NEVER come close to what they show on the Iranian TV.
Fox News comes close, but even Fox News tries to portray some balance.
A Sigh Of Relief!
by G. Rahmanian on Tue Aug 30, 2011 05:52 PM PDTIt's a relief the lady didn't relate this embarrassing episode to Israel going back to its pre-'67 borders, this time around! Of course, as someone said recently in a similar context, the lady and her buddies are of the belief that others have no understanding of what's going on in the rest of the world.

Pendar
by Shifteh Ansari on Tue Aug 30, 2011 04:14 PM PDTOf course the western media is also not objective and they have political agendas they are trying to pursue. Take this recent live BBC interview for example.
However, I doubt there are any media in the world that are as slanted and devoted to censorship as the media of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The reason for this is that controlling what Iranian people hear and know is one of the most important tools the IRI has had in remaining in power for the past 32 years. That's why they spend so much money on IRIB, filtering, Friday prayers, gozinesh, haraasat, etc. That's why there are "57 channels and nothing's on."
Pendar Nik, Whom are we kidding here? Honestly, I don't understand why perfectly intelligent people such as yourself think that the wrongs of others are somehow sufficient justification for the wrongs of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Very Well Said
by statira on Tue Aug 30, 2011 04:16 PM PDTIran is in a state of isolation and never wants anything good for any of it's neighbors. Bravo to Mr. Oryan
A country like Iran that is not able to provide the most basic rights for its own citizens, how is it able to bring democracy to other countries?

We all enjoyed a cool clip. Let's be honest though, an American host would have handled it in a similar manner. And what happened to the thirty-second-delay technology? The Americans have it.
LOL!
by ghalam-doon on Tue Aug 30, 2011 03:56 PM PDTThis is what they call "absolute freedom!"
Last time they have live interview.

Reform requires the consent of the corrupt
Hands down, the best analyst ever on Iranian TV!
by Shifteh Ansari on Tue Aug 30, 2011 02:33 PM PDTWith all the hand-picked, ideologically-aligned, paacheh khaar, and downright liar analysts/interviewees on the Iranian TV, this man quite possibly is the best analyst ever on the Iranian TV.
In terms of honesty and telling it like it is, he is a close second only to Farnoud Raast-goo.
Post-screening!!!
by Arj on Tue Aug 30, 2011 02:33 PM PDTLater on, on future news: "Political analyst, Fazlorahamn Uriah was found dead today in his residence in central Kabol. He is survivrd by a wife and a half dozen children. Police found no evidence of foul play in regard to his death!"
Elsewhere in Tehran: "In what appears to be a hit-and-run accident in Varamin desert, a body that's believed to belong to the IRINN's news director was discoverd by the law enforcement and ...."
Occupation does not equal consent
by BoosBoos on Tue Aug 30, 2011 02:03 PM PDT" by Faramarz on Tue Aug 30, 2011 01:56 PM PDT Every single country is providing the US a military base with open arms."
* The Iraq government has told the US military to get out.
* Afghanistan was invaded and is occupied.
* Armenia denied the US a military base.
* Russia and China will not allow a US military base.
* Georgia tried putting in a US military base and the Russians smashed Georgia and took South Ossetia (Ossetians are ethnically tied to Iranians by the way ... not that I would expect this crowd to know that history.)
Parazit
by BoosBoos on Tue Aug 30, 2011 01:59 PM PDTHere's the Parazit (the US) version of censorship.

Will Parazit permit you to post content on their as a primary link on their Facebook page? No. I thought they were for free speech? Oops!
The Most Despised Regime in the Neighborhood!
by Faramarz on Tue Aug 30, 2011 01:56 PM PDTThe entire neighborhood is disgusted with these sneaky Mullahs and will cheer the day when they fall. Every single country is providing the US a military base with open arms.

He let him speak & he let him criticize the Iranian government
by BoosBoos on Tue Aug 30, 2011 01:43 PM PDTActually he let him speak and criticize the Iranian government -- it's a lie to say he didn't. When the guest repeated himself and didn't answer the commentator; he cut away.
