Mojahedin: Cult of the Chameleon

Documentary by filmaker Maziar Bahari

"Massoud Rajavi is the leader of this bizarre Iranian Cult who over the years helped Ayatollah Khomeini overthow the Shah, then declared war on the Islamic Republic ruthlessly killing their fellow countrymen. They allied themselves with Saddam Hussein but now that he is gone are ardent supporters of the coalition. The MEK has switched allegiances so often that any underlying ideology is long gone. Now the MEK is on the verge of getting off the U.S. list of terrorist organizations as a result of a multi-million dollar media & lobbying blitz."

What I said are backed by evidence, and no, I did not say “[Bahari] is actually doing the IRI bidding,”

You are free to twist my carefully chosen words any which way that pleases you.

Take care.

I do find it interesting that Brother Maziar blames "MEK sympathizers" (his words) for sparking the violence in the 2009 protests. That is a very interesting charge, especially since he does not state what evidence he has to know whether a given person on the streets during those protests is an "MEK sympathizer". Were they carrying pictures of Mr. and Mrs. Rajavi? Were they chanting pro-MEK slogans? Or did the Twelfth Emam whisper it in Bahari's ears? Frankly, I find Bahari's accusations in the absence of any credible evidence to be rather suspect.

So now you're saying,

So now you're saying, Maziar Bahari who spent quite a bit of time in Evin and was tortured is actually doing the IRI bidding?  You can't be serious?

I think the MKO is a cult as well.  And I say so because I have family members who are or were at one point in Iraq and part of the organization.  I have nothing to do with NIAC.  Where does that leave me?  Don't be so dogmatic.  The world is not as monochromic as you think it is.  There are other possibilities besides your unfounded opinions.

The “documentary” was aired by Aljazeereh, but, as the title of the piece mentions, the filmmaker is Maziar Bahari.

Bahari’s anti-MKO tendencies are no secret. He is the one who filmed the Basiji Rapists shooting at Iranian demonstrators from the rooftop. Bahari claims, as does the Islamist Rapist Republic, that Basiji Rapists did so only after Mujahedin attacked, like MKO members had a badge identifying them as Mujahedeen members.

In his numerous articles written while in Iran he has not been shy about his anti-MKO stance. This is all fine; MKO is a cult and needs to be disbanded and its brainwashed members set free.

however, for all this to be taken as a nonbiased attempt, the NIAC lobby which frequently features Bahari, and is on a anti-MKO crusade, has to come clean about its court documented alleged connection to a faction of the Islamist Rapist Republic.

Freddy Freddy Freddy...This documenary was made by Aljazeera.  What does NIAC have anything to do with this?

Come clean first

by Fred on

NIAC lobby with its lifetime president is becoming the gathering spot for all sort of anti-MKO cult activists including  this filmaker, Bahari who just participated in a NIAC lobby members only anti-MKO gathering.

That is a good thing, provided the NIAC lobby comes clean about its connection to the Islamist Rapist Republic and answer the outstanding questions it refuses to answer.

Until then it is just one lobby trying to deny a competitor the chance to lobby in its field.
