I think I will use one of his two cell phone numbers now and call him to find out why he had that ending. If I learn anything good I will report back.

This sense of ownership of women and self-righteous physical abuse is a plague which has become more widespread under the Islamic Republic.
It is this sort of culture which threatens Muslim women even in Western countries. Just today The Guardian reported that in the UK "statistics from police forces detailing numbers of crimes planned and carried out by families or communities reveals 47% rise":
