AP — An Iranian surveillance plane has recorded video and photographed a U.S. aircraft carrier during Iran's ongoing navy drill near a strategic waterway in the Persian Gulf, the official IRNA news agency reported on Thursday. IRNA quoted Iran's navy chief, Adm. Habibollah Sayyari, as saying the action shows that Iran has "control over the moves by foreign forces" in the area where Tehran is holding a 10-day military exercise >>>

by Arj on Fri Dec 30, 2011 06:32 PM PSTA-bugger, if your BS is a personal attack directed at me, I'm sorry but I have to refrain from engaging in a conversation with you! Your primitive cognitive capacities and limited vocabulary ("Omati, Kiani, Javad..." are you for real?!) are not even worth a serious reply!
Good luck with the knee op AO
by Roozbeh_Gilani on Fri Dec 30, 2011 06:30 PM PSTAnd dont rush back into training post op, I've seen folks doing that and regretting later.
Yea, on Iron Man, just wanted to prove to myself that I can still do it after turning forty. A sign of mid life crisis? maybe..
Take care my friend and let us look forward to a good year for all our compatriots back home. I want them to live like I and you. Get good medical care, have jobs and homes, be able to run and exercise for fun, enjoy the life free of fear and war, like most of humanity...

by yolanda on Fri Dec 30, 2011 04:06 PM PSTDivaneh,
You are absolutely right! The sea mines remind me of the Iranian human mine-sweepers during the I/I war! Some of them are young kids. Now it is a totally different era! I doubt Americans will lay mines in the Strait of Hormuz 'cause Americans don't want blockage, IRI does.
It does not make sense that IRI lays the sea mines and then make their own people defuse the sea-mines!
IRI "has" the ability to remotely bring down American spy drone intact, but has to defuse the sea-mines manually! Mind-boggling!

So what?
by divaneh on Fri Dec 30, 2011 02:41 PM PSTThey have flown past an aircraft career and are boasting about it. Why is it a big deal? If at least they had spat on it, then they could hail it as a matter of national pride.
Last time they deceived Iranian people and got them to run over the land mines in their way to meet Mahdi. I don't know what they do with the sea mines. Not many would be interested to meet Hazrat Younes.
Samsam -e gerami
by Anonymous Observer on Fri Dec 30, 2011 02:18 PM PSTMy brother--as you know, the ommatti crowd of all shades and flavors, from the baby poop green to "conservative" adult poop brown, have deep hatred for anyone with pride in Iran's pre-Islam past. Just like you, at any given time on this site, I usually have a couple of stalkers who chase me from thread to thread and try to get my attention at all costs, even if it makes them look like total javads (as you correctly call them) that they are. What can I say, people like you and I are the antithesis of their An-tellectual, An-ghelabi idology, yet we are irresistible to them. It must be our good looks. :-) I usually allow them to do their 'aar aar' as it seems therapeutic to them, and who am I to stand in the way of someone's mental health wellness?
And you are correct my brother. These are the same olaghs who were screaming atop their lungs in 1979 telling people to attack military barracks and kill soldiers--and then were cheering the execution of some of the most patriotic, highly trained military officers (such as Gen. Jahanbani) while watching TV and enjoying their chelo kababs. These same treasonous An-tellectuals have now changed colors--like the turkeys that they are-- and have become pseudo-patriots in Ommati occupied Iran.
The good news is that the Iranian people are waking up. They smell these opportunists a mile away. Their time is up, and has been up for at least a decade.
Cheers bro, and have a Happy New Year!
RG Jaan - Thanks for asking
by Anonymous Observer on Fri Dec 30, 2011 01:57 PM PSTThe knee surgery was planned for early January, but due to work obligations it's being pushed back to late February. :-( It sucks actually since I have had to reduce the running schedule.
Dude, I'm now officially jealous of you for finishing the Iron Man. :-) Seriously, though, that's a great accomplishment and I'm glad you got through it.
Happy New Year to you and your family as well. Wish you all success and "piroozi" in 2012.

by Anonymous Bugger on Fri Dec 30, 2011 01:18 PM PSTBro, we rarely drop by on this felestOmari site but it seems kiaanis like us are targets of stalker javad chelos & fatmeh kebabs no matter how short our visits..the other day another khar feminist ommatie outta no where came out to call me all sorts of names just because I wrote a one liner to divaneh in defence of Ferdowsi (&obviously the sabzollahi shaikhmaster of the site had fun with it since its still there).
Bro..the same ommatie characters who attacked Army barracks of the professional "Iranian Army" in 79(i almost did it myself but i was a kid:), beheaded it's personnels , executed %15 of it's fighter pilots & forcefully retired the rest are now talking about due respect... the same javads who open their dirt filled mouth everyday badmouthing kiaani heritage of Iranians they now claime to be their cyber body guards & finally the same javads who worship lobster flag are preaching the rest about respecting their state's emblem & icons.
hahaha ..30 yrs late akh tofan malakhans
cheers& Happy new year pilgrim!!!
btw; it seems us independent few kiaanis are the shared object of hatred by the hezbo, sabzo, melimazihezihowzi, fake commies, fake secular democrats & fake monarchists on this site.. & yes even the all righteious Fredie mack calls us kouroshollahi nutti racist nationalists..(guess he currently has no use for Cyrus for now in his grand fight with his hated former allies the akhoonds)::). No tolerance for any other ideas & yet full of it when it comes to others.

by Roozbeh_Gilani on Fri Dec 30, 2011 12:59 PM PSTI remember you mentioning a knee injury a while back. I hope you have fully recovered. BTW, I dont know if I told you, but I managed to do my (last...) Iron man this year as planned. took me about a week of rest on this site to recover. :)
Take care my friend and a very happy new year to you and all your loved ones.

Re chelokabab!
by Arj on Fri Dec 30, 2011 11:05 AM PSTNot that I enjoy engaging in futile disputes over trivial issues like chelokabab, but you seem to have some sort of unresolvable issue with chelokabab, yet tell me to get a life!
P.S. You're either giving yourself too much credit, or as I suspected, paranoid! For no one is stalking you, but when you post your BS on a public forum, expect to get comments in response!
Happy new year to you too!
As I said before, it's your sole and exclusive problem
by Anonymous Observer on Fri Dec 30, 2011 11:24 AM PSTnot to be able to read a paragraph properly. Sorry, but can't spoon feed you everything. Just don't have the time.
Now, get a life, have a dish of chelo kabab and stop stalking me! I have no interest in having a discussion or a back and forth with you. This shall be my last comment to you. Please feel free to "arbadeh" as much as you want.
Again, Happy New Year!
Re direction of the comment
by Arj on Fri Dec 30, 2011 10:28 AM PSTNonetheless, lumping up the secular army with IRGC and Basij is a sign of ignorance! Your comment seems to lack the due sense to address the IRGC on a related blog than one featuring the regular army! I don't know what kind of paranoid delusions you're under, but I'm not looking to recruit (for what exactly, and of all places, here on IC?!) anyone! I'm not a big fan of chelokabab (last time I had it was more than a year ago), but do not look at those who are (which is majority of Iranians) with contempt because of it!
.......
by yolanda on Fri Dec 30, 2011 10:18 AM PSTPress TV reports that the Hormuz military exercise involves dumping mines in the ocean, and then send divers to detect and defuse the marine mines......the whole operation sounds labor-intensive, time-consuming, and dangerous.
If you don't lay mines in the ocean, you really don't need to send your own human mine-sweepers to detect and disable the marine mines!

Arj - my comment was specifically directed at the IRGC troops
by Anonymous Observer on Fri Dec 30, 2011 10:05 AM PSTand it's quite obvious in the body of the comment. If you can't understand or see that, that is your sole and exclusive problem. And stop it with the "hating Iranians" hyperbole. That "hana" has no "rang" anymore. Although I see what you're trying to do, which is to gather up a group of like minded folks to "pile on." And to that I say: good luck, as I do not give much "care" to that stuff.
Happy New Year!
Re obesity
by Arj on Fri Dec 30, 2011 09:59 AM PSTAO, it's one thing to hate IRI, IRGC and Basij, it's another to hate Iranians! These guys here are personnel of army, navy and air force of Iranian military, which is a totally separate entity from IRGC and Baisj! In case of IRI's fall, it's these guys who are supposed to defend Iranian territorial integrity, and in all likelihood, an overwhelming majority of them are secular and would be happy to see IRI gone! So what if they like Chlokabab -- as majority of Iranians do? Moreover, I don't see any morbidly obese persons in this footage, albeit some of them may slightly be overweight!

IR's New Tactics
by Faramarz on Fri Dec 30, 2011 09:27 AM PSTI finally figured out what the true strategy behind the Regime's stupid threats is.
By showing these clips they either want the US to feel sorry for them or die laughing!
Just look at the parade of the Phantom jets and old helicopters. It is like you gave your old clothes to a bum on the street and the bum wants to challenge you to a "Fashion Throw down" with your old clothes!
Best tactic against IR's military
by Anonymous Observer on Fri Dec 30, 2011 09:35 AM PSTis forcing IRGC troops to run a mile. Those fat bastards will drop dead from heart attacks after the first 300 feet. Their fat infested, chelo kabab clogged arteries won't be able to handle the stress. Have you looked at photo lineups of these guys with their bellies hanging over their knees? They could all qualify to be contestants on the "Biggest Loser."
Actually, if I was a U.S. interrogator when these morons inevitably end up as POWs, I would make it a condition of their survival for them to describe the shape of their penises. They will all end up dead as none has been able to see his penis for years.
I guess physical fitness is not a part of IR's "asymmetrical warfare" doctrine!
Who are they trying to fool by this report...

Now, the Stalinists are finding both God and country
by AMIR1973 on Fri Dec 30, 2011 07:23 AM PSTIsn't it cute that yesterday's "Comrade" has been recycled (or is it reincarnated?) as today's Zoroastrian commandment? So, now the IRI's military, whose sole purpose is to maintain the Khomeinist terrorist regime, is being case as a patriotic and "blessed" entity? Desperate times, I guess, call for desperate measures -- if you are a West-residing Stalinist IRI Groupie, that is.
Blessed are the defenders...
