Join the International Campaign for Human Rights in Iran in calling for the release of lawyer Nasrin Sotoudeh, who is in prison simply for defending her clients and insisting that Iranian authorities respect human rights. Since Sotoudeh’s arrest, her family has been working tirelessly to secure her release and you can help them. Take action by sending the two letters below. Tell Iranian officials you support Sotoudeh and demand her freedom. And urge the foreign ministers of 25 countries, from across the globe, to call for Sotoudeh’s release. When you're done, email this action page to six friends, share it on Facebook, and Tweet it far and wide! To learn more about Sotoudeh and ways to support her, watch our video to the right and visit the Free Sotoudeh Project >>>

She surely has my respect, gratitude and full support. With the hopes of seeing her freed soon and in a far better system/environment that is worthy of her

How can we help?
I share Amirparviz's sentiments and
by Milan on Mon Dec 05, 2011 10:04 AM PSTwill do my part to help this campaign, but it'll probably be to no avail. I have a feeling that writing letters to these "Iranian Officials" or asking foreign officials to intervene somehow brings about the assumption that we're dealing with a legitimate government, which is farthest from the truth. You cannot reason people out of something they never reasoned into.
How the F&^%$ &^%L Can a person be in prison for being a Lawyer?
by amirparvizforsecularmonarchy on Mon Dec 05, 2011 07:49 AM PSTWhat is her crime? Am I missing something? She is being charged with using the law to defend her clients?
What is this a sick joke? Is this really how the government wants people to remember Islam in Government, they don't care, crazy!

Freedom for all
by Jahanshah Javid on Mon Dec 05, 2011 05:32 AM PSTThank you for this campaign. Sotoudeh had worked tirelessly and effectively to defend the rights of political prisoners. Extremely brave and honorable. The least we could do is demand her freedom.
