Good examples of "weird" history.

G. Rahmanian

Dear Ari:

by G. Rahmanian on

A good question. There are many puzzling events in the history? Here are a few: Why didn't the Zands kill Agha Mohammd Khan? Why wasn't Stalin purged, although he was deemed dangerous for the party by Lenin himself. Why didn't the Shah kill Khomeini? Why wasn't Fidel Castro killed upon his arrest? Why didn't the Shah go Suhartoesque with all his military might when he could? There are many questions with almost no "logical" answers!

Dream On "Of Purging!"

by G. Rahmanian on

I tell you, the other three were purged as well! Inaa hamash zeereh sareh sheitaaneh bozorgeh. Aslan in aagha vojoodeh khaareji nadaareh. Hamash doroogheh, baa baa! I feel much better, now!

Of Purging the opposition

by comrade on

IRI has no problem with the creation of a Green IRI in exile. The two won't fit inside. That's all.

Never increase, beyond what is necessary, the number of entities required to explain anything.

Ari Siletz

Why didn't IRI purge Karoubi nephew before all this?

by Ari Siletz on

Maybe they don't have their act together, or more likely Karoubi/Mousavi loyals in key positions have dirt on IRI activities that acts as purge insurance.     Example: couple of years ago an IRIB journalist named Masouminejad was arrested in Italy for arms trafficking. Iran embassy in Italy worked hard to get the charges dropped. Maleki's defection could open a can of worms for the IRI.

G. Rahmanian

Yes, he is!

by G. Rahmanian on

And as I wrote down bellow, better late than never. The more such defections occur the faster the process for change. This is where the international community can help; expediting or even encouraging their defection. Each time one defects, it damages the morale of others who stay behind. The regime in Tehran must be isolated.

Karoubi's nephew

by Ari Siletz on

According to AP,and C. Amanpour  Maleki is Karoubi's nephew.

Bavafa

What ever his motives are

by Bavafa on

Defection from IRI regime is a good thing for the opposition and people who are fighting this regime. With due process hopefully, their role within IRI will be identified and justice will be served. But at this time, the people can use as many defectors as they can get.

So, I welcome his departure from IRI.

Did you know that Italian women have decided to get tougher with their men? I guess Italian men will have to start importing women. Anyhow, Berlusconi owns Italy and some Italians say they don't want him. The guy wants to have some fun, that's all!
