by pedro on Fri Feb 25, 2011 04:10 AM PSTThank you, I see your point now. I'm sorry if I judged you too soon. these horrendous news coming out of our country specially about innocent children while Iran is so rich with oil wealth is very painful.

by SIMONEH on Thu Feb 24, 2011 11:18 AM PSTPedro! Seems you didnt even listen to her, she has cut herself(or bruised..) several times. Sorry to hear from some so-called intellectuals in this community that act like a child. Why you should assume if somebody needs a psychologist is a bad thing?...YES i need a psychologist too, so what? ..
Besides, please understand that i feel sorry for HER but not for her reactions to her problems. i criticized her for the way she thinks and acts which is wrong. She needs somebody to talk to her first and then donate some money, because not everything gonna be solved for her just by giving money if you understand what i'm saying and not judging me.
Arthimis....
by pedro on Thu Feb 24, 2011 09:04 AM PSTYour words are heartfelt my friend thank you, She is a sister, a child, to all of us and she is in need. Vildemose, good Idea.
SIMONEH, you gave us picture of how you were raised, without compassion. You need a psychologist to address your issues first. she is only a child that spils her heart out for millions to see, you know why? because she is obviously hungry and uncertain about future.

by vildemose on Thu Feb 24, 2011 07:38 AM PSTWhy as a community at IC we adopt her? We all chip in $10, $20, $30 dollars a month. Isn't this possible??
I"m willing to donate $20 a month. How about you??
Just tell me where to send it??
Spoiled, like to be pampered OR brave. You are your judge.
by comments on Wed Feb 23, 2011 07:15 PM PSTIn my opinion there could be two reactions on one of the posted personal comment stories:
1) Thank you for sharing the information with us. You and your family are champions. I am so proud of people who pass the struggles in their life, get educated and find a respectful career.
2) It’s a shame that some parents do not have the potential, ability and brain to feed their children. Did they ever think if they could manage so many children before enjoying themselves? For god’s sake. Unfortunately, that pscychological trend usually continues in that generation. I am so sorry to hear that and I suggest asking for help soon.
In my opinion if one expects to hear the first option he/she is really spoiled, like to be pampered and needs extra attention. If he/she knows what new generation would interpret he will never bring up that discussion or he/she is brave. I have honestly no idea what one picks.
Thanks J.J.
by Nader Vanaki on Thu Feb 24, 2011 01:17 AM PSTA very touching story and a moving narrative. I for one never thought these things happen in Iran. Unfortunately at every bus depot or truck stop, there is a similar story.
SIMONEH, This heartbreaking
by Arthimis on Wed Feb 23, 2011 06:29 PM PSTSIMONEH,
This heartbreaking story is very believable, unfortunately and shamefully...
Your Judgement is very harsh and unfair... You are comparing an unfortunate life and life situation of a young Iranian girl from the country side under the worst possible economical, social, educational, Religious, cultural, political and .... with your own (or of one in the "Free World") background, opportunities and blessings in life and life situation???!!!
Please , Think really hard about what you wrote and be a little more compassionate and fair ...
In The Name Of God, Free Iran and Iranians... Amen.

by Arthimis on Wed Feb 23, 2011 06:17 PM PSTDear "comments",
Your suggestion so far was the brightest in my opinion about this innocent and good soul...
It's haunting, with her Angelic Voice & Soul, she effortlessly teaches us all of how to be better human beings... I would like to help too, please keep this thread going until we can find a way to help her and be a voice for our poor and oppressed people (young children) of our beloved country, Iran, The Third producer of Natural Oil and Second Producer of Natural Gas in the WORLD !!!!! Shame on Islamic Republic, Shame on Iranians, Shame on our so called "humanity"...
First of all she definitly?! should read this.
by comments on Wed Feb 23, 2011 04:57 PM PSTThis is certainly common anywhere in the world, but it was hard for me to hear from her with such a beautiful accent.
1) Isn't it obvious that there is usually a reverse relationship between poverty and education?2) Did her mother have training in contraceptives at school when she was 12?3) Is it easy for such a beautiful girl to get a job in Iran? You didn't trust her by watching the video. Almost 99 % of people are like you, and I don't blame them. Do you think the doors of restaurants or coffee shops in Iran open to her for a job?!4) Why doesn't one pay for her medication and education if he really believes in his comments? And, help her to use her brain. 5) She ran away because she definitly was raped and insulted in that small city.
With Tearful Eyes I Watched This:
by Nader Vanaki on Thu Feb 24, 2011 01:29 AM PSTI am so moved by her plight and the response of the Iranian community on this post that I must suggest Angelina Jolie adopt her. There are many who help girls like her financially to pay for their law school education-every day in the U.S.. Well done J.J. for bringing this heart wrenching story to our attention.
First of all she definitely
by SIMONEH on Wed Feb 23, 2011 04:25 PM PSTFirst of all she definitely needs a psychologist, second if she loved her parents why she ran away? She doesn't seem to have been abused or something. Third, there are lots of people living in iran that are poor and sick at the same time. fourth her mother having "nafas tangi" dosen't mean that she can't work. Fifth, how come the mother has brought the third kid (age 3) if they were facing a hard life?...Sixth, how come she looked the WHOLE IRAN and couldn't find any job?! If somebody wants to help her, please make her believe that she should use her brain and THINK that running away dosent solve her problems.
That's heart-breaking
by Azadeh Azad on Wed Feb 23, 2011 03:54 PM PSTIs it even possible to send donations to Iran? How?

Make Your Impact
by vildemose on Wed Feb 23, 2011 03:25 PM PSTIt's been a pretty dismal fairy tale for the reigning Miss Colorado USA Blair Griffith.
The 23-year-old and her mother were evicted from their home last November -- a month after winning the pageant -- and have been homeless since, Colorado's 9News reports. They're staying with a family friend after a series of setbacks, including her mother's heart attack and major surgery that caused financial troubles.
What's more, Griffith, a magna cum laude graduate of the Art Institute of Colorado, will be out of a job next month. She works at Saks Fifth Avenue, and her store is closing. //www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/02/23/miss-colorado-blair-griffin_n_827277.html
I think we should all chip
by vildemose on Wed Feb 23, 2011 03:18 PM PSTI think we should all chip in and help her on a monthly basis? There are thousands of runaway kids here in the US in worst shape. Oprah and Ellen would rather help them.
Just watched the full things a couple of weeks ago and could not stop crying. This is was on 20/20 . It's chilling story of grinding poverty in America.

To vildemose or someone who wants to help
by comments on Wed Feb 23, 2011 03:06 PM PSTShe is a hard working, beautiful, smart and respectful girl. I think it’s too late for her parents. She should save herself now.
What about translating, sending the video and introducing her to Oprah and Ellen?
I wouldn't mind if she joined tha Basij
by KingReza on Wed Feb 23, 2011 02:15 PM PSTCan you blame someone like her for joining the Basij? She would get paid by the Islamic Republic to beat the same people who look down on her in society.
