Zohreh Etezad Saltaneh

Paints, cooks, sends text messages -- with her feet

Zohreh Etezad Saltaneh, 49-year-old Iranian artist living in northern Tehran, was born with a birth defect stunting the growth of her arms and hands, but that hasn’t stopped her or her artwork from gaining worldwide attention. Zohreh paints, cooks, cleans the house and even sends text messages. “My slogan has always been: being disabled does not mean being restricted”.

An inspiring lady........I have saved the video! I have hands, but no painting talent, a terrible cook, unable to send text messages!

This video is a gem!

The lady is undisputed IOD!

The victory of human spirit and will power against all odds. Is there really a limit on what we can do? I guess the limit is as far as we can see!

Thank you for this wonderfull blog.

More about Ms. Etezadolsaltaneh: The 49-year-old retired special education teacher also takes care of her mother who is a cancer patient.  She gets $600 per month as pension from the government and lives by the mantra “To want is to succeed.”

Here she is standing next to one of her works.

I'm trying to remember

I'm trying to remember if I saw her on TV many many years ago. This is in the late 70s, in Iran.  I had a lot of respect for her then and I still do.
