Camp Ashraf attack leaves 175 injured

London protests at 'attack' on Iran exiles at Iraq camp

BBC: Demonstrators have gathered outside the Iranian Embassy in London to protest at what they claim was an attack on Iranian exiles in Iraq. They have accused Iraqi special forces and Iranian agents of breaking into Camp Ashraf and injuring 175 refugees with stones, pieces of metal and other sharp objects. Camp Ashraf, close to the border with Iran, houses 3,500 Iranian dissidents. They have "protected persons" status under the Geneva Convention. The British Parliamentary Committee for Iran Freedom has accused Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki of ordering the attack. The committee's chairman, Lord Corbett of Castle Vale, called on American troops and the United Nations Assistance Mission in Iraq to intervene >>>

Much like Maziar, I agree with your sentiments about these folks commitment to fight IRI , one need to keep in mind that some if not all IRI foot soldiers are equally if not more committed in their belief, yet we don't agree nor praise their commitment.

But I wholeheartedly agree with the hope and wish that the ordinary MKO members could be given a way out of this mess if they choose to and settle else where and carry their fight in a manner that has more Iranian people support. MKO has less of a chance for support inside and outside of Iran as a Zionist or Sunni opposition group.

I praise you sentiments toward our hamvatans BUT please don't forget the operation marsaad after the ceaesfire and personally witnessed the street shooting of an innocent couples in pol choobi on the way going to fix my sarbazi papers before the war.

They are as brutal as IRR if they can they will.

BTW they're also political islamist as they claim marxist islami.

You guys just don't get it, do you?

In the fight against injustice, there are those who stand the ground and pay the ultimate price and those who can't stand and back off. We, our dear comrads backed off. Nobody is asking us to do anything. We can't even miss drinking our Starbucks coffee in the morning and enjoy our great lives and yet again find ourselves justified making judgments about those who decided to do something about it. Those people are just you and me. Perhaps they had the same choice and decide to fight. I would rather we just be quite and move on in living in piece. Oh, by the way, don't forget to book your vacation to Cancun!

Cheers

Islamist regime and MKO leaderships will pay for this one day.

by Roozbeh_Gilani on

It deeply  upsets me to see my unarmed, defenceless compatriots being attacked and injured by a bunch of cowardly armed islamist regime thugs in this  manner, no matter if they are green, MKO, Monarchits or whatever. It saddens me deeply to see these Iranian patriots being used as political pawns

I have no doubt the vast majority of MKO membership are very patriotic , highly committed and disciplined  Iranians, albeit following the wrong ideology , doctrine and leadership. I wish one day I can sit down with these committed, amazingly brave brothers and sisters and explain to them the folly of mixing two completely opposites; Marxism and islam, and adopting it as an ideology. I wish the MKO leadership for once learn from their mistakes and let these compatriots leave Iraq, settle elswhere , and join the rest of Iranian nation in their struggle for dismantling the islamist regime and it's replacement with a secular democracy, free of any hint of islamist mumble jumble.

Long Live Iran

Down with the islamist regime and the political islam, the biggest hoaxes of the 20th centry.

what should we believe what MEK has to say?

by MOOSIRvaPIAZ on

mojahedin just like IRI are "chooppane dorooghghoo". its hard to take them seriously even when they are right about something. they will resort to propaganda to get cheap political points, even the death of their own . look no further than their willinness to die for maryam rajavi their dear leader. they are willing to set themselves on fire for their leader.

Let them dimilitarize, go back to Iran and form a political party?  Are you nuts?  Do you really think the IRI would let them participate in the Majlis?  Even if they abandoned their militancy and formed a political party, the IRI would tear these people apart as soon as they got of the plane.  As you know, the IRI won't even tolerate Mousavi who has all the revolutionary credentials.  What makes you think they'll tolerate someone who killed so many IRI supporters?

"God's law prescribes four punishments for them. 1. Kill
them. 2-Hang them, 3-Cut off their hands and feet 4-Banish them. If we
had killed two hundred of them right after the Revolution, their
numbers would not have mounted this way. I repeat that according to the
Quran, we are determined to destroy all [Mojahedin] who display enmity
against Islam".

To the Iranian mothers and Iranian fathers of those killed as a result of MKO actions during the war, would you say:

¨If I was in control I would allow them back and guarantee them safety from the government. I would even allow them to organize and form a political party as long as they're not resorting to violence. Once they realize they have no pull with the Iranian people they'd either give up or resort back to violence. In which case, If I was in control, the MKO would wish they were dealing with the Islamic Republic.¨

Basically the Iraqi government wants to hold to justice members that killed Iraqi citizens. Why are the Iraqi people being denied that right? Give them thier day in court.

There is also no Iraqi shock collar on them forcing them to stay in Iraq. More so, many of the leaders have vacationed in the EU.
