seriously though
by asadabad on Tue Jan 11, 2011 06:58 PM PSTthis is great news. cross border trade has a "civilizing effect", i.e. people who are in business together are less likely to kill each other.
their ice cream looks better than baskin robbins. personally, i'm not into hardpack ice cream. soft serve is so much more appealing.

by yolanda on Tue Jan 11, 2011 11:42 AM PSTHi! DA,
:O) You can be a little gentle with Iranian ice-cream......it is ice-cream....not yellow-cake.........ice-cream is great, but you can't eat it everyday........just once a while in Summer for fun......I like pistachio flavor.....
I can't believe they have Ice-Pack in war-torn Iraq, but not in US......Is that because of sanctions?
ICE-Pack has 34 flavors of Ice- cream, they beat Baskin Robin by 2 flavors:

IcePack Chain
by statira on Tue Jan 11, 2011 10:17 AM PSTIt seems very Americanized, but looks yummy and more inviting that American made. But I still prefer our bastanieh sandwichie yegherooni! I wonder if they still have it!
yolanda, that was truly yucky!
by Dirty Angel on Tue Jan 11, 2011 10:32 AM PSTIt should all come with a health warning, starting with clicking on the link.
"The Icepack chain store was, by the grace of God, established in Iran and went through many hardships in
a short time. Bearing in mind the high demand for employment and the need for creating jobs to prevent unemployment,
poverty, and other social problems, I decided to take action in this regard for my beloved country and take a small
step in solving the social and economical problems."
I wonder if god likes clinically obese people, with lots of nice smelly fugly diseases to enter hell and heaven very quickly. Mind you, the old sod didn't like biting into apples either. What a weirdo!
Best bit though are the branch addresses:

"Niavaran Square - Against Foreign Affairs Ministry"
"Jam e Jam mall" - Against Jam e Jam - Vali Asr Street
"Motahhari Boulevard, Against Estakhr "
Bless'em

IRI
by asadabad on Mon Jan 10, 2011 08:25 PM PSTHas already banned 2 flavors for obvious reasons:
mint chocolate chip and pistachio ice cream.
By the way, "Madonal" fast food restaurants already operate in Iraqi kurdistan...The funny thing is that their fast food is probably more nutritious than american fast food.
only 2 flavors matter: Akbar-mashdi & faaloodeh-e Shirazi - yumm
