Hamed Haddadi: Charged

Basketball player has pleaded not guilty to assault charge

MCAl: Memphis Grizzlies player Hamed Haddadi, 26, was bound over to a Shelby County grand jury Monday on a domestic assault charge involving his former girlfriend. Memphis Grizzlies reserve center Hamed Haddadi leaves General Sessions Division 10 court Monday after being bound over to a Shelby County grand jury. He is accused of domestic assault of his former girlfriend last November. The 7-foot-2 reserve center from Iran was charged in November 2010, along with the girlfriend, Goolnaz "Asal" Karbalaeinematmoeeney, but charges against her later were dismissed. "We believed Mr. Haddadi was the primary aggressor," said prosecutor Karen Cook. Haddadi has pleaded not guilty to the assault charge. Both he and the girlfriend had injuries related to the incident. She had a cut near her right temple, another on her hand, a black eye and bruising around her neck. She claimed he became enraged when he saw her talking to another man. He claimed she fell out of bed when an amorous attempt went awry >>>

My pick of the "revolting comments".

by Roozbeh_Gilani on

"If he was in Iran, he would be charged with not beating her until she was dead. They take their woman beating serious over there."

"Personal business must yield to collective interest."

I don't think Karbalaeinematmoeeney has enough space to put her name on her driver's license or they have to use super small font....

What is an amorous attempt? Their stories are totally different....apparently the judge does not believe Haddadi's story!
