1970s Nowruz Compilation
I have put together few Nowruz related videos that were originally aired during 1355-1357 (1976 & 1978) on Iranian National TV. The best shows were always reserved for Nowruz. I remember sitting in front of the TV for 13 days only to get up occasionally to visit family members and collect my Eidi. I would like to wish JJ and the rest of the IC friends a Happy New Year.

oktaby, after watching the first two I had so much nostalgia and memories I stopped for the day. After reading your points I watched the third one, excellent observations; "gavshotorpalang mindset" indeed. We had so few coherent thinkers....

Side note: 3rd video (Noruz Amad) is a good personification of the kind of confused gavshotorpalang mindset that resulted in 79 disaster.
Young generation on its way up, dressing hip (maybe a bit cheezy) sexy girl dancing on a platform provided for free by Iranian National Radio and TV. What they sing as they try to look cool: a happy tune whining about how society has lost its way from the times Namaz va roozeh would not be missed, as they sing and invite people to come and celebrate Noruz.
If I had a dime for each of these….
