Iran Claims Flying Saucer

Zohal, designed and developed by Iranian space industry

FNA: Iran unveiled a home-made unmanned flying saucer as well as a light sports aircraft in an exhibition of strategic technologies. The unmanned flying saucer, named "Zohal", was unveiled in a ceremony attended by Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei. Zohal, designed and developed jointly by Farnas Aerospace Company and Iranian Aviation and Space Industries Association (IASIA), can be used for various missions, specially for aerial imaging. The flying machine is equipped with an auto-pilot system, GPS (Global Positioning System) and two separate imaging systems with full HD 10 mega-pixel picture quality and is able to take and send images simultaneously >>>

Please agha becarfull, I would hate to see a picture of you taken by one of these flying saucers, naked on top of one of your SEGHEII ladies in compromising position held in place on one side with your own arm and the other side, through the use of a stool.

Hate to say it, but this is just a glorified toy. This german guy (link is below) made one in his garage, and his is probably more advanced than the one Iran's space institude made. Definitly not an achivment of any kind.

If you follow the link to Fars article you will see a bad Photoshop (not cut and paste) of a 50's sci-fi flying saucer hovering over a maple-tree forest!

And we all know that there are no maple-tree forests in Iran.

I know that Iran is not even close to most of the other countries in Science, Technology and Medicine advancement.  How could they become so innovatives in Space and Nuclear industry?  Is that all copy/paste and replications?
