It's about which side you identify with. Obama obviously identifies with his African side. Now Steve, bless him, could easily pass as a Cohen or a Goldstein so he should have no problem running for the mayor's job ;)

Don't stay in the Dark Ages. Travel to the 21st century and educate yourself: 

In sexual reproduction, Mitochondria DNA (mtDNA) are normally inherited exclusively from the mother. The mitochondria in mammalian sperm are usually destroyed by the egg cell after fertilization. Also, most mitochondria are present at the base of the sperm's tail, which is used for propelling the sperm cells. Sometimes the tail is lost during fertilization. In 1999 it was reported that paternal sperm mitochondria (containing mtDNA) are marked with ubiquitin (a small regulatory protein) to select them for later destruction inside the embryo.

This means that the Patrilineal System, which is an essential part of patriarchy and male domination, is in fact 100% unnatural, besides being oppressive. We need to restore the Matrilineal System,  which is natural and logical and doe not oppress anyone.    

The racial heritage is determined by both parents as well as their  ancestors. Obama is as Caucasian as he is Black. 

However, if you absolutely want one of the two parents to determine your racial heritage, it is actually your mother who, above passing on her Mitochondria DNA to you, feeds you for 9 months from her blood and carries you, then gives birth to you and keeps feeding you.
