US State Department
by I despise fascists and st... on Wed Mar 30, 2011 04:24 AM PDTFussygorilla,
your criticism of the State Department is unjustified and actually ignorant. Most countries appoint envoys who are either long-term bureaucrats or as a result of a political reward. Very few embassadors speak the language of the country they are sent to. America's last embassador to Iran actually spoke Persian and received the wonderful Persian hospitality for 444 days.

Azerbaijan
by fussygorilla on Tue Mar 29, 2011 06:17 AM PDTAzarbaijan Republic women know how to dance beautifully, gracefully, and joyfully. Just watch Baku Tv on satelltie.
U.S. ambassador, typical of American diplomats to foreign countries, cannot even speak Azeri. Shame on State Dept. He, probably never heard about Azerbaijan before he was assigned there. Again, typical of American system of sending people ignorant of the history, culture, and people of the countreis they are assinged to.
p.s. Wish Iranians in iran could also celebrate with music, dance, especially women dancing (though they don't really know how to dance). May be some day.
