سرانجام پس از دو هفته از شایعه ناتوانی و ترس عوامل سپاه در بازجویی از افرادی که به "جن گیر های دولت" مشهور شده اند، حسین صفار هرندی، مشاور فرمانده سپاه و یکی از چهره های موثر در سرکوب اعتراضات مردم در سال 88 در محفل انصار حزب الله فاش کرد که این "جن گیرها بازجویان را به سردرد مبتلا کرده اند".

صفار هرندی در حالی خبر وحشت بازجوهای سپاه در مواجهه با "جن گیرهای دولت" را تایید کرده که پیش از این برخی از سایت های نزدیک به عوامل بازجویی از "سکته" بازجوی عباس غفاری در حین بازجویی خبر داده بودند اما برخی معتقد بودند که این اخبار در حد شایعه است.
