Football referee saved by assistants

BBC: A German top-flight football match was postponed after the referee tried to kill himself before the game, according to police and league bosses. Babak Rafati, 41, was found injured in a hotel room by his assistant referees. Rafati, a banker who has been a referee since 1997, is said to be in a stable condition in intensive care. The Cologne versus Mainz 05 Bundesliga match in which he was due to officiate on Saturday was called off 40 minutes before kick-off. It might be useful to know that in the UK (please, don't all rush over here) a Living Will is quite fashionable, as well as helium bags with strings.

The irony however is that the Living Will has to be signed by witnesses and I don't know if the bags come with a guarantee. LOL!

Regardless of what the family and friends might think, a failed suicide should be outlawed............any attempt to save the victim (which is an absolute misnomer), should be considered as a criminal act.........

Very sad...

When I heard about it I was very sad... I read for few days he was in critical care you... he is recovering fast which is a good thing.  In my view, suicide should not be an option for anybody.
