Reuters - Iran buried Monday a senior military officer it called the "architect" of its missile defences, killed in a massive explosion at a Revolutionary Guards' arms depot that authorities said was an accident. Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei attended the ceremony for Brigadier General Hassan Moqaddam and the 16 other Revolutionary Guards who died in the explosion at their military base Saturday. The blast was so big it was felt in the capital Tehran, some 45 km (28 miles) away. Officials said the accident happened as troops were moving munitions at the base west of Tehran and have denied suggestions that it may have been sabotage >>>

Trend of lies!
by Arj on Tue Nov 15, 2011 06:32 AM PSTFrom the looks of it, it seems to be a work of sabotage in which, as in the assassinations of the nuclear scientists, IRI is quick to deny any foul play, while this would've been the perfect opportunity to lash out on Israel and "Zionists agents!" Yet, it opted for damage control and calling it an accident! The fact that IRI tries to cover up all traces of the incident (as they did in the assassination cases) and clean up the scene as quickly as possible (as they did in the case of the bombed Syrian nuclear site) is a sign of weakness and suggestive of deep rifts and iefiltrations among the IRGC ranks!

Roosters have come home to lay eggs, so to speak!
by Oon Yaroo on Mon Nov 14, 2011 06:15 PM PSTIt's easy to speculate on who and what was behind this spectacular fireworks!
Watching the video from the beginning to end I could not conjure up these uniform wearing HamMalls being capable of spelling out nuclear bomb let alone designing one!?!
These clowns don't strike me as being in the same league of the father of US atomic bomb, Julius Robert Oppenheimer.

No Israeli המוסד (Mossad) agent would jeopardize their precious lives to travel to Malard, Iran to blow up a TNT factory!? Could MEK have done it, maybe!
Most likely, it was carried out by an internal rivalry between the Ahmadinejad's IRGC nocheh against the Khamenei's IRGC nocheh!
I'm in Fear for Iran, if mossad did this according to
by amirparvizforsecularmonarchy on Mon Nov 14, 2011 03:33 PM PST//www.guardian.co.uk/world/2011/nov/14/iran-m...
Then if Iran produces Nukes, how can they prevent them from being set off within Iran, if they can't guarantee the life of a brigadere general?????
Very bad Sign.
accident or internal war?
by Sheila K on Mon Nov 14, 2011 03:33 PM PSTsome believe there's a serious internal conflict brewing between Rahbar and Sepah and AN.
Faramarz, I agree with you
by Arthimis on Mon Nov 14, 2011 11:10 AM PSTFaramarz, I agree with you 100%! I.R. is in FEAR, more than ever before!!!
Unfortunately, I.R. has done so much crimes against Iran, Iranians & humanity that it is hard not to feel slightly better when some of their members & weapons (that have been terrorizing...) are eliminated!
However, as a human and Iranian, naturally we all are saddned for any loss of human lives...
Let this be a BIG WARNING & Lesson, for all those Sepahis & Basijis to wake up, repent and join the Freedom Loving People of Iran while there is still a little time left & before it is way too late for all of IRAN!!!
Criminal I.R. has managed to control and almost suffocate unarmed & peaceful Iranians who only ask for their God given human rights and Freedom, But when/if the so called "FREE WORLD" lead by the U.S. & in its allies ever decide to attack, I.R. Stands absolutely NO CHANCE for survival! I.R. and all their Evil Force, Supporter will all be wiped out in less than a week from the face of earth and the remaing collaborators will all be arrested by Iranians on the ground, exactly like the way Gaddafi was defeated by FORCE! That is of course "IF" the U.S. , Israel & NATO decide to remove the regime in Iran!!!
We have been waiting for almost 33 years! Only Time will tell when & how this evil regime will be removed...
FREE IRAN & IRANIANS.
This is exactly
by shushtari on Mon Nov 14, 2011 10:17 AM PSTwhat is needed.....I'm sorry for the families of the 'pasdars'
but I'm glad they got that 'general'........
this shows exactly what is needed to remove these pests from our country.....
we don't need war, or invasion.......this filth can be targeted and eliminated as needed
I love it, because I bet ali geda and the rest of his goons can't sleep at night now.....because they know mossad can 'take care' of them anywhere or at anytime.
khomeini and khalkhali and arafat hunted down and killed some of the bravest patriots we had- shafiq, bakhtiar, oveissi, .....now their remnants can piss their abas in fear that they can be next, anyday.....as they say 'payback is....', well, you know
the interesting thing is that this moghadam character was just mentioned in the IAEA report last week....
I hope this is the beginning of the end for these thieves....
sleep tight seye ali geda LOL
Did Ahmadinjad attend this
by vildemose on Mon Nov 14, 2011 09:54 AM PSTDid Ahmadinjad attend this funeral??? It is more like an inside job and a warning to Khodaygan from IRGC faction supporting Ahamidnejad and Hojatieh.

There were some reports and speculations…
by Bavafa on Mon Nov 14, 2011 08:06 AM PSTEluding this was a sabotage by MEK with the help of Mossad. Even though both terrorist entities well capable of such act, I hope it is not true as it will follow with a similar terrorist act only in retaliation.

What to believe
by Veiled Prophet of Khorasan on Mon Nov 14, 2011 08:05 AM PSTDo I believe that regime is in fear? Or do I believe Amirparviz that America is backing the Mullahs.
We got more theories than grains of sand on a beach. No proof and no reason to put one above the other. We got wishful thinking and cynicism. That is it.
I hope America is NOT behind IRI except to give them a kick in the rear. But that may be wishful thinking.

Regime is in Fear
by Faramarz on Mon Nov 14, 2011 07:40 AM PSTThe way the Regime reacted to this "accident" was very telling.
They blocked the streets and allowed only Sepah ambulances and fire trucks to go through. They arrested a BBC-affiliated reporter who was on the scene and reporting. They tried very hard to downplay the incident.
The Regime is fearful of two things; any sign of weakness which will bring millions of Iranians to the streets, and a sky full of F-16 and drones. They do not have any answers for those.
Everything else, they can manage.
I wish
by MRX1 on Mon Nov 14, 2011 07:31 AM PSTwe could get more explosions like these to weed out these cockroaches.
love the coded language: "accident"!!!!
by Roozbeh_Gilani on Mon Nov 14, 2011 06:40 AM PSTThose on this site who are not only Iranian, but also have relatives and friends back home, just had to pick up the phone this weekend, try for about an hour to aquire a line, and talk using the usual coded language designed to confuse the SAVAMA ear dropper on line, to get the real story about this "accident"!!!
well, regardless, just translating to English the feedback I got from the folks back home in Iran:
"One down, a few thousands more to go" :)
"Personal business must yield to collective interest."
More accidents please!
by PArviz on Mon Nov 14, 2011 04:49 AM PSTI would welcome such accidents because they don't hurt ordinary Iranians. They just destroy those who try to suppress them.
Down with the ENTIRE Islamic Republic!
Shaheeds?
by Fred on Mon Nov 14, 2011 04:11 AM PSTUnless the explosions with strange white clouds were not “accidents” as the Islamist Rapists claim that they were, then the victims cannot be “shaheeds” as they are referring to them.
What gives?
