Iranians defeat Poland, world's No. 3 team

fivb.org: Osaka, Japan, November 24, 2011 - Iran battled past Poland in tough five-setter (23-25, 28-26, 8-25, 26-24, 15-11) on the first day of second-round action in the 2011 FIVB Men's World Cup at Osaka Central Gym on Thursday. Mehdi Bazargarde sparked Iran with 15 points and was named the most impressive player of the match. Mohammad Mousavi and Hamzeh Zarini both added 12 points. Bartosz Kurek had a match-high 26 points for Poland. Iran improved to 3-1 with the win in a match that was very competitive with the exception of the third set. The defeat was Poland's first after victories over Cuba, Argentina and Serbia>>>

OMG! Iran's head coach is from Argentina. He helped Iran beat Argentina! His heart must be torn! His countrymen must be mad at him!

IRIB3 will show the game, Tehran time on November 25, 2011, 5:30am or 9pm Eastern USA on November 24, 2011.  Iran will play Argentina.

Outside of Iran you need Satellite or watch it online (1) www.footballitarin.com or (2) www.glwiz.com (go to IranianTVs, then click on IRIB3).

Iran against Argentina will be another exciting match.

So far I have watched all Iran's games.  This was an amazing match.  Poland is a great team.

Fantastic win for Iran.  The new coach Velasco is making a big difference.  I heard for Iran to get him six months ago, he is getting paid $30K a month which is worth it.  He is a great coach.
