AFP: The United States is seeking international support for fresh sanctions against the Central Bank of Iran, a Treasury official said Friday following an alleged plot to kill the Saudi envoy in Washington. "We are engaging in an effort to develop the multilateral support that would be critically important in having an action against the CBI really be effective," sanctions czar David Cohen told the House Foreign Affairs Committee. Most Iranian banks, including the CBI, have been under comprehensive US sanctions for nearly 20 years, and any US dealings with them are illegal >>>

by Veiled Prophet of Khorasan on Mon Oct 17, 2011 03:34 PM PDTI did that is why I am very careful in the words I chose. My posts have been flagged then de-flagged by the admin before. Just stick to the rules and avoid any words that may be on the disallowed list.
I used to be opposed the the whole idea but if it is there we got to learn to work it. That means go exactly by the letter of the "rules". I bet the c*** word was what the main problem. I value your post and this is my advise so they do not get removed.
And They are very good at flogging
by Soosan Khanoom on Mon Oct 17, 2011 03:16 PM PDTI mean flagging ... LOL
Have you noticed that exactly as I have prediciated it my reply to GR was falgged and then removed ?
SK I agree
by Veiled Prophet of Khorasan on Mon Oct 17, 2011 03:04 PM PDTThe people who think Israel or NATO will free Iran are dreaming. This is assuming they are sincere. Why should USA spend its money and risk lives to "free" Iran. What does US want in return.
There is a price to anything. The accusations are ridiculous. Someone just implied I am a NIAC agent. Whatever that is supposed to be. I did not even know NIAC had agents. I did not bother to return the favor with an equally ridiculous accusation.
While we got that mentality around we are going to be hampered. But then it will never vanish. So we have to live with them. Have them make claims and say what they want. There are a lot of people with time on their hand; anger to vent.

by Soosan Khanoom on Mon Oct 17, 2011 02:53 PM PDTI agree with what you are saying but when people go around on this site and continue with their bomb bomb campaign and begging for CIA and MOSSAD's assistance in that aspect ... then they drag superpower into this ... Should that happen then these superpowers are as much as an immediate threat to the Iranian people as IRI if not more....
Besides some of these sanctions may well be an immediate danger to our poor nation.
We are just stating our point of views here and we are neither " sareh peeyaz nor taheh peeyaz "and these desparate guys keep accusing everyone to be an IRI agent. May be they are afriad of something .... otherwise their accusations does not make sense ... They are just like neocons whom have already started to call the wall street demonstrators the paid foreign agents .... their mentality is the same ...
IRI vs Superpowers
by Veiled Prophet of Khorasan on Mon Oct 17, 2011 02:28 PM PDTThe problem is that IRI is wrecking my home nation. Superpowers wreck other places. Being an Iran centric person I am more worried about Iran. Therefore IRI is the immediate problem for me.
Regarding paid agents. These charges are being tossed around with no prooof. Just because people don't agree with others does not make them paid agents. if that were so then 90% of us are paid agents!
COP ...
by Soosan Khanoom on Mon Oct 17, 2011 02:01 PM PDTYou are entitled to your opinion and me to mine. I cannot compare what the Superpowers have done to the world to IRI ..... IRI is not even close to them. Unfortunately what IRI is doing is to its own people for that alone SHAME ON IRI .......They shall soon reap what they sow. HELL WITH IRI ... BUT at the same time shame on any one of us who instead of dealing with IRI seeks refuge to another evil power who never ever in the past, at the moment and in the future had or is going to have the Iranian people's sake in mind ..
Hope you see my points cause i have found you to be a reasonable person ...

The way you make this statement makes it sound like you actually believe the Islamist puke occupiers of my ancestral land are anyhting less than monsters.
Nobody forces the regime to rape, maime, murder, mutilate, beat, torture its OWN friggin citizens.
Now who's evil?

That is in case they finally wake up from their world of dreams! Except for some paid IR agents, Iranians have been getting it collectively. But as anyone would tell you back in Iran, "We've gotten used to It!"

by Faramarz on Mon Oct 17, 2011 08:55 AM PDT"Somewhere over the rainbow
Way up high,
There's a land that I heard of
Once in a lullaby.
Somewhere over the rainbow
Skies are blue,
And the dreams that you dare to dream
Really do come true.
Someday I'll wish upon a star
And wake up where the clouds are far
Behind me.
Where troubles melt like lemon drops
Away above the chimney tops
That's where you'll find me.
Somewhere over the rainbow
Bluebirds fly.
Birds fly over the rainbow.
Why then, oh why can't I?
If happy little bluebirds fly
Beyond the rainbow
Why, oh why can't I?"

by Soosan Khanoom on Mon Oct 17, 2011 08:49 AM PDTNothing is justified with the hypocrisy of the West ... the only place that it can be justified is among a few Iranians abroad whose egos are larger than life. Who pretend that they care about Iranians while they can't wait for the Iranian people being bombed or starved to death at the same time finding themsleves watching it.
IRI is evil but not as much as the policy makers of the so called free world. Especially that we all know their Policies have nothing to do with the Human rights in Iran but everything to do with IRI's foregin policy...
This too shall pass ... and one day the nation of Iran wil rise triumply from the ruins of both IRI and their western counterparts......
A collective punishment for Iranian?!
by daha36 on Mon Oct 17, 2011 06:38 AM PDTSanctioning the Central Bank of Iran is considered a collective punishment of the entire nation and it is totally not justified.
US Must Impose Sanctions!
