AP: Iranian state TV says two players have been suspended from the country's professional soccer league for an ''immoral'' goal-scoring celebration. The report Monday says Mohammed Nosrati of Persepolis squeezed the backside of teammate Sheis Rezaei while the Tehran team's players celebrated a goal against Damash Gilan. After Persepolis scored again in the 3-2 victory, YouTube footage appears to show Rezaei squeezing an unidentified teammate >>>

Punishment is too severe
by statira on Wed Nov 02, 2011 09:53 AM PDTesp for our best players. Those homo behavior is so common among the Iranians and not something new. You see mullahs kissing little boys all the times. Their mouth is not any better than someone's butt.
No Yellow Cards but 74 Lashes for Nosrati!

Slip of the hand!
by Arj on Mon Oct 31, 2011 09:02 PM PDTThis practice is a common form of an inside joke among the male Iranians (even old men!). However, what is odd here is the time and the place, as it's on the field and caught on national TV for everyone to see! This guy must've really had the urge to risk the scandal! Perhaps a few sessions of therapy would be more beneficial than any fines or reprimand from the diciplinary committee!

You are really funny! LOL!
I don't think
by statira on Mon Oct 31, 2011 08:17 PM PDTit was a deliberate act. His hand was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

by yolanda on Mon Oct 31, 2011 07:15 PM PDTIt took me a while to understand it is butt-squeezer, not back squeezer! "Back" refers to from shoulders to waist!
If commingling is allowed in Iran, these 2 young people will channel their energy to the right "area" (I believe :O)!

by Faramarz on Mon Oct 31, 2011 03:10 PM PDTThis is not limited to Iranians at all and quite widespread. Almost every 3rd World culture does Angosht and Angoolak!
I never forget the first time that it happened on the field was to one of my teammates. We were playing a Latin team and things were heating up. Then on a corner kick, one of the Latins fingered one of the Iranians and a big fight started. The Iranian guy was so mad that he got kicked out of the game. The Latin guy just winked at him and blew a kiss. It was after the game that we all learned about the fingering!
One more thing to cover on the corner kicks!
If you also remember the incident in the 2006 WorldCup final between the French Captain Zidane and the Italian defender Materrazi who was pulling Zidane's shirt. Zidane told him, "If you really want my shirt that bad, wait till after the game and I will give it to you!" Materrazi quietly replied, "I want your sister's shorts!" Zidane got pissed, head-butted him, got ejected and France lost.
But one thing for sure, people usually don't finger their own teammates. That's an Iranian thing, like squeezing somebody's nuts! Quite popular with Iranian males!
To Ahamadi-najad Do you

What's the story? Is "angoolak" common among boys in most countries, or is this another honar that's nazde Iraniaan o bass? :) I don't think it's something boys do at American schools.
