MNA -- Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has said that religious democracy could help regional nations meet their needs for a political model and prevent enemies from taking advantage of the current political situation in the region. The Leader made the remarks on Thursday during a meeting with members of the Assembly of Experts. “In the current complicated situation, introducing the topic of religious democracy, as the legacy of Imam Khomeini, can come to aid of regional nations to satisfy their needs and prevent enemies from taking advantage of the present (political) vacuum,” he stated >>>

by Rea on Sat Sep 10, 2011 10:48 AM PDTLast nite watched: "Envoyé spécial".
Tell the truth, didn't like it. Have been defending France all over the place, but there was something profoundly disturbing in that documentary, didn't like it.
Hope you are right. However, not sure any more.

مردم سالاری دینی یعنی مو
divanehFri Sep 09, 2011 05:50 PM PDT
Religious 'People-Supremacy'
by Tavana on Fri Sep 09, 2011 12:35 PM PDTCorrection: This old man never mentioned the word 'religious democracy' as it is translated above. He instead repeated after himself the self invented word of "Maardom-Salari' without explaining what it actually meant!! Such wording is absolutely not the same as 'Democracy' in Engish. The best translation for the word 'Salar' or 'Sarvar' is 'Dignified' or 'Noble.' Such is the GOD's view of all humans regardless of their religions, race, color, class, and etc. in Ghoron (17-70): 'NOW, INDEED, We have conferred dignity on the children of Adam, and borne them over land and sea, and provided them sustenance out of good things of life, and favoured them far above most of Our creation'
He also mentions about other 'cults' like 'Shafeiee' or 'Hanafi' which together with 'Shiahs' & 'Sunnis' are all the humans' created 'sects' or 'fegh-hs' & are all strongly prohibited per the straight Ghoron's teachings.
Arabs have mostly been of Islam religion for the past 15 centuries & they do not need to be coached about such by Khamenie. Their 'Spring' instead comes from their 'Awakenings' about their corrupt & incompetent leaderships who have been holding to power forever & have been exploiting their countries; 'natural resouces' for the sole benefits of their own & the top extremely corrupt elites!
Didn't our own 'Spring' of 32 years ago turn to a 'Fall' in a long run after all?
I guess what he's trying to say is that
by azadi5 on Fri Sep 09, 2011 10:51 AM PDTexecute as many opponents as possible, since that was the legacy of khomanie as well. In other words, what he means by religious democracy=mass executions.
