rape on IC
by Tiger Lily on Tue Sep 20, 2011 11:57 AM PDTI stupidly open yet another rape issue page, with no access to bromine and up prop up an ad for
ukraineDate.com and something about meeting smart Persian women. Evidently,I'm not one of the smart ones. EWWWWWWWEEWWW
Thank you HT and especially Fair
by Souri on Tue Sep 20, 2011 10:12 AM PDTYou have got my point.
Although it was not so difficult to understand what I meant in my previous comments, but some people like to keep the hypocrisy to support more hypocrisy!
Violence results in more violence
by choghok on Tue Sep 20, 2011 02:49 AM PDTIf you learn kids dicipline by slapping them, you have to slap them once in a while to keep them in their place. The kids would accept this too and be physical with each other as well.
And when they grow up they teach dicipline the same way.
Souri is right
by Fair on Mon Sep 19, 2011 10:40 PM PDTfor calling out this regime's hypocrisy. Maybe Mr. Abadi has no problem with such hypocrites, does not mean that everyone can turn a blind eye. A regime which rapes as a mean to stay in power should be judged before anyone else in society. To be a judge you have to have no criminal record yourself. Stop supporting rapists and criminals in power in Tehran.
Justice system in Iran!!!
by Benyamin on Mon Sep 19, 2011 05:41 PM PDTthe Justice system in Iran is either "shllagh=whipping" or jail time or exacution.
Everything in Islam is clear, if u rape they kill you, if you steal, they cut part of your body in a way that you wont be able to live normal anymore, if you say allaho akbar and if it is against the stsem then will rape you and if your don`t say allaho akbar and it is against the system they will rape you. if you vote and it is not for the " velayate rahbari" they will rape you if your don`t vote and it considered against the system they rape you.
The justice system in Iran is pick and choose whatever works for the system it will get done, whatever doesn`t it wont.
Souri has a valid point
by Hooshang Tarreh-Gol on Mon Sep 19, 2011 02:55 PM PDTIt's nice for IR to start awareness on rape in Iran after 32 years of its bloody rule. However the root causes of violence against women (that includes rape) remain intact and some would say in facr they have worsened. Islamic Republic of Hell is organized on the bases of Gender-Apartheid, that is: mens' domination over women. Until and unless this problem (of men's domination over women in Iran) is solved, all these attempts as good as they sound, remain cosmetic attempts.
Started to watch the video couldn't see more than the first two minutes.
Souri has a vail point. How about all those abuses that take place in the prisons.
But it's not just the prisons, in some area of some cities, big and small, during certain hours of the day, in broad day light, you just can't leave a female member of your family alone. It's getting worse by the day.
Mr. Abadi: this is not pessimism, it's called realism!
...
by Truthseeker9 on Mon Sep 19, 2011 01:21 PM PDTPerhaps what she is saying is rape taking place within the home
and prisons is not considered rape.
Something Else?!!!
by Souri on Mon Sep 19, 2011 08:52 AM PDTYeah,
Else, indeed!!!
Souri, you are backwards
by dariushabadi on Mon Sep 19, 2011 08:36 AM PDTIt reminds me of something that Dariush the singer said at one of his concerts.
He said that Iranians are such "bad been" (negative viewers), that even if they were to be taken to Heaven/Paradise, they will say some negative comment like, "Why is this place so big?"
Tackling sexual crimes in of itself is a big step in a country in the Middle East with such cultural taboos. Instead of praising this huge step, you talk about something else instead?
What about the rapes in prisons?
by Souri on Mon Sep 19, 2011 08:24 AM PDTDo they tackle this too?
