AP: Iran said Sunday that it had reverse-engineered an American spy drone captured by its armed forces last year and has begun building a copy. Gen. Amir Ali Hajizadeh, chief of the aerospace division of the powerful Revolutionary Guards, related what he said were details of the aircraft's operational history to prove his claim that Tehran's military experts had extracted data from the U.S. RQ-170 Sentinel captured in December in eastern Iran, state television reported Sunday >>>

the big if
by مآمور on Mon Apr 23, 2012 03:42 PM PDTI see, some people wonder, if Iran can do reserve engineering why they dont apply to their old fleet of commercial passenger planes??
figuring out how a part of Boeing aircraft is made would be easy and it has been already done! making all parts and pieces require investment!! anybody knows how much boeing is worth?? dahhhht

Japan, German copied every thing from US
by عموجان on Mon Apr 23, 2012 09:58 AM PDTAfter been bomb to pieces in WW2 by them, yet they kept their culture and identity because they knew what they want and welling to learn
U.S. didn’t bomb us but let us had excess to their economy and technology and we were going forward, till somebody said we want Emam Zamam now we have neither economy, culture or identity unless we think being Arab is better than Iranian.
Did I mention parents in Iran dreaming of sending their kid to U.S. for education for what ever it cost? including IR spporters, I haven't heard anybody going to Karbala for higher education.
May be they should bomb us WW2 style then we learn what we want in this world or wait for Emam Zaman and he will bring us every thing and more, we don’t have to rise a finger.
Copying US economy and freedom.
by Farfromheaven2002 on Mon Apr 23, 2012 08:58 AM PDTI am not sure it would be a good idea to copy the US economy, but I am fond of copying US freedom, powerful and scary reputation and human rights.

Copying as in Xeroxing at Kinko's!
by Faramarz on Mon Apr 23, 2012 09:52 AM PDTYou see, he did not say that they are building or flying drones.
He said copying as in photocopying or maybe Photoshoping to put the IR flag and Emam's picture on it.

by Thought on Mon Apr 23, 2012 07:53 AM PDTWestern intellect is the ultimate superiority, which doesn't include the semite. Some one during WWII ALSO believed the same.
fanaticism in a mask of European superiority in a body of a Jew.
If only they could copy U.S. economy or freedom!
by عموجان on Mon Apr 23, 2012 07:51 AM PDTEmam Zaman can play with this on his spare time now.
Idiots.
this clips reminds me of a scene in space odyssey 2001 movie.
by mousa67 on Mon Apr 23, 2012 07:33 AM PDTdirected by our very own jewish american great director stanley Kubrik. The scene shows a group of very excited monkeys faced with a perfectly designed and engineered cube trying to make sense out of it by jumping around it making loud noises.
i doubt if these islamist monkeys can make more sense out of this product of western intelect than the monkeys in kubrick's movie.
hint hint, wink wink
by Thought on Mon Apr 23, 2012 05:36 AM PDTThey are giving hints to those US people who understand what's up. By just mentioning the log data, they are saying that they got it. If you decrypt log data in the drive, you have the drive files at your disposal.

Strange of IRI to give away its secrets?
by choghok on Mon Apr 23, 2012 02:10 AM PDTIf you have ben able to crack your enemies code why would you give that info to your enemy?
I would guess that IRI pretends to know more than it does.
Are we?
by Farfromheaven2002 on Sun Apr 22, 2012 10:17 AM PDTIf I believed in commented opinions, I would have believed that all Iranians are stupid, obtuse and brainless.
Iran still is a country, and some Iranians still live there. There; however, are whiz kids and geniuses who didn’t like/want or couldn’t leave Iran, and they have a job to survive.

The reverse-engineered drone now flies in reverse! Just like aft
by Oon Yaroo on Sun Apr 22, 2012 07:47 AM PDTaftabeh!
These morons could not operate a simple crane the other day during the flood in Tehran.
Wait a second, they do know how to operate cranes. When the weather is nice, it's standing still, and it's only being used to hang innocent Iranians from it.
God damn these SoBs!
Great Acheivement!
by Faramarz on Sun Apr 22, 2012 07:21 AM PDTWhat they have managed to do is to read the drone's maintenance record, like the oil and filter change!
You would think that if they were able to land the drone, then they should be able to fly it too!
Just look at it this way, the Regime has not been able to reverse engineer Phantom F-4's parts and still tries to smuggle them. And that's 1960's technology.
Don't believe a word
by Arash Kamangir on Sun Apr 22, 2012 03:51 AM PDTI bet all the details have been given to russians or chinese and if a copy is made then it is by them and not IR.
