Alireza Akhavan: Prisoner of the day
RAHANA: Alireza Akhavan is a labor activist and a member of the Labor Rights Defenders Center.
Security forces first arrested him on June 4, 2010 at his home and transferred him to solitary cells inside Intelligence Ministry's Ward 209 at Evin Prison. On June 10, 2010, Akhavan's case file was forwarded to Branch Three of Tehran Province Security Investigations. He was released on $70,000 bail on June 29, 2010. He was sentenced to three years in prison prison on charges of "propagating against the regime." An appeals court reduced his sentence to 1.5 years in prison.
Akhavan was arrested again on January 28, 2012 to start serving his sentence at Evin Prison.

It is truly heartbreaking to see these honest people are being kept in jail and away from their families. Hope that one day we all witness Democracy and Freedom in Iran.

نگاه های تیز و با هوش و بسیار دوستدارانه ی روژان ۴ ساله دختر خوش صحبت علی اخوان چیزی نیست که کسی آن را به سادگی از یاد ببرد. این نگاه ها همیشه ترا تعقیب می کنند. از آن مهمتر به تو می فهمانند که ژرفای احساست را نسبت به خودش درک کرده است. او می داند که چقدر برای من عزیز و دوست داشتنی است. می داند که من پدر فرداد سه سال و هشت ماه هستم که خودش را خیلی به رژان نزدیک می داند . از معدود مواردی است که فرداد با او تا آخر سر می کند. رژان برای من نماد کوچولوی در حال رشد و امید بخش عشق وارزش است که آنها را از مادرش و پدرش و از همه مهمتر از رابطه ی بسیار صمیمی و رفیقانه ، عاشقانه و به یادماندنی این دو یاد گرفته ، به ارث برده است. چشمانش کاملابه مادرش رفته است اما در یک نگاه او را چون فرزند علی اخوان تشخیص می دهی. بیش از هر چیز روح باعاطفه و مهربانش و احساس مسوولیت وتعلق خاطرش به محیطی که در آن می زید ترا به یاد علی می اندازد.
