by Ahura on Mon Jan 16, 2012 04:33 PM PSTThanks for your constructive comments. I as an Iranian have a lot to learn on democracy, objectivity, fairness, attentive listening, and getting the basic simple facts right. Dr. Homayoon Katuzian calls our society “Jame-eh-yeh Kolangi” or something to that effect. Although the buck stops with us (the people), but leadership has crucial and critical role with a small window of opportunity to lift the people up. That of course is a herculean task in Iranian society with deep rooted autocratic way of life.
Now on common ground, the majority of Iranians abroad recognize the urgency of assisting the Iranians at home to overthrow this satanic IRI theocracy. On this issue, I know we agree.
Dear Ahura
by darius on Mon Jan 16, 2012 12:04 PM PSTI agree with you, bringing up the dead and idolizing them is not helpful but why is it always him?
Show me an instance when the opposition extended their hand and
accepted a period of truce to work with him. ( I know that he did it directly and indirectly).Show me a positive thing that oppostion ever did or done for Iran and Iranian?
I think the blame is on all of us, we did it to ourselves, we are guilty of ruining our country and humilating ourselves .
I have said many times, we did not oppose the Shah we betrayed our country , how could be possible to shake the hand of a liar(khomeini) and terrorist( Mojaheen and fadaeeian) but it was less human and less dignifying coopeating with Shah and give him a chance.
I think, it is time to be fair to him and stop blaming everything on him. We deserve the current situation. We are responsible for all the bloodshed, human right abuses and future destruction of Iran as much as khomeini and all IRI thugs. We proved them to be foolis and undeserving mature Iranian.
We asked them to consider us minor and do whatever they wish.
Confused or conniving?
by anglophile on Mon Jan 16, 2012 11:23 AM PSTAn accomplice or a weasel?
by Ahura on Mon Jan 16, 2012 10:53 AM PSTThe late Mr. Iraj Gorgin, condolences to his family, says Mohammad Reza Pahlavi was not an autocrat. Why? Because he was educated in West, knew foreign languages and was very presentable when meeting with Western heads of states and dignitaries. An autocrat imposes his will on everyone, but MRP had educated staff and would listen to them. He just wanted to have the last word. Nothing compared to previous dictators in Iran or in the region like Saddam Hussein and Kaddafi.
We just have to overlook the fraud, the election charades, the servile technocrats, the nurturing of deceit and corruption among the populace, the stealing from public coffer, the detentions and execution of opposition leaders, the imprisoning of sacrificial lambs like Premier Amir Abbas Hoveyda, the abandoning of patriotic Generals to Khomeini’s psychotic hangman Khalkhali, and the cowardly finale act of fleeing Iran and leaving her to the anti-Iranian Mullahs with their archaic Sharia laws.
That was thirty three years ago, but now let us rally together and replace this criminal IRI religious dictatorship with a secular democracy based on human rights and territorial integrity of Iran. Mr. Reza Pahlavi, in spite of being tethered with emotional/financial ties to his delusional father and surrounded by old sycophant advisors, can be helpful in forming a unified patriotic front inclusive of all Iranian opposition groups such as Green movement, Republicans, Leftists, Shaollahis, National Front, MEK, Kurds, Azeris, Baluchis, and Arabs. Our common enemy is the demonic IRI and its fanatic Hezbollahi supporters, and our goal is to mobilize the afflicted Iranian masses at home to overthrow IRI.
Dear Anglophile, Thanks!
