Navid Nozhat: Prisoner of the day

Sharif University student

Daneshjoo News: Navid Nozhat, a Sharif University student, appeared at Evin Prison on Saturday, July 7, to commence serving his one-year prison sentence, after he received a second summons notice for turning himself in.

According to Daneshjoo News reports, Nozhat was first arrested on February 13, 2011, and was released to a custodian (in lieu of bail) two weeks later.

In July 2011, Branch 26 of Tehran Revolutionary Court under Judge Pirabbasi sentenced Nozhat to one year in prison on charges of "propaganda against the regime."

His sentence was later upheld by a Tehran appeals court.

by Zendanian on

Dear virtual friends,

please take a minute to write a letter, this or your own version, and be of great help for a great kind of people: our best and the brightest, no to mention mighty courageous and strong.  Many thanks  in advance.

-----------------------------------------------

I (we) am (are) writing this to condemn persecution and arrests of student  activists in Iran. Student activists in Iran are being constantly harassed and arrested by the Iranian government authorities. In particular, this letter is written to express my (our) serious concern about the health and well being of Mr. Navid Nozhat who has recently  been incarcerated.

I (we) condemn the continuous gross attacks on students’ rights in Iran. I (we) demand the immediate and unconditional freedom of Mr. Navid Nozhat and all other jailed student  activists and call on the Islamic Republic of Iran to respect the right of srudents to organize, assemble and freedom of association and expression.

Iranians of all walks of life taking a stand for their freedom and just rights.  They are to be commanded and supported by all freedom loving folks.

Iranians need to stand united in their support for these brave souls, support their goals and aspiration for a  free independent and prospers Iran.

Foreign nations which thru their apartheid policy practice the same insanity and unjust detentions cannot be a good example for the future of Iran and need not to apply.

Please raise Navid's case with your fellow students, publicise his case through your student unions, write to your elected local and national political representatives, write about Navid's case to your local and National media outlets...

The Fascist Islamist regime has been responsible for  Imprsonment, Torture, Rape and Murder of Tens of thousands of Iranian Students throughout it's shamefull 34 years of existance. Help Iran and it's people in their struggle  to overthrow the Islamist regime and free themselves from the yoke of Islamist Fascism .

Islamist Rapists

by Fred on

The Messianic Islamist Rapists’ ideology is based on anti-human rights tenets, expecting them to go against their grain is to believe in tooth fairy.

Regime change is the only way to stop 34 years of barbarism by the Messianic Islamist Rapists, “reformers” and all.

Backbreaking airtight sanctions plus air/naval cargo inspection is a must.

Navid is just one of many, many, many imprisoned students.
