Don't know much about the history of those two team and how did they did in the semis, but i disagree with how you analyze Ronaldo's role in this team.

At some point, yes that might have been true. but now you have nani...that other blondi number 5...and couple of other penetrating and aggressive guys who can run all over, through and even under the feet of  any defense line any day of the week. Ronaldo as a matter of fact is just there to make sure nothing goes wrong and if does to correct it and hit the net. like a safety net. Which is really what matters in order to register one in  the win column:)

Don't know about this spanish team. Seen so many other beatiful passing-based tactics from other teams that puts this one to shame. I hope they get what they really deserve since the portugese have been the one who have actually put on display some MANLY footbal and managed the entire match even against The germans.

I believe that Spain's time is up big guy. just like other big teams. so they better move over in a graceful fashion:))

Portugal will lose to Spain in the semis as they have always done. Spaniards have a mental edge over the Portuguese and it shows on the field every time that they meet.

The problem with having a super star like Ronaldo on your team is that everything breaks down upfront and all the players look to Ronaldo to do his miracles. That's the difference between Messi or Iniesta and Ronaldo. Messi or Iniesta make the players around them look great by precision passing and moves.

Ronaldo is all about Ronaldo!

Can you imagine another face off between Germany and Portugal? And this time around it will be Kick ass time by them portugese. Ronaldo really recreated in me a new image of himself, since i always thought of as some useless, punk who just happens to be right up front. But his moves and skills and sense of location and position impressed a heckuva lot.
