RAHANA: Maryam Akbari Monfared was one of the 2009 post-election protesters. She is a homemaker and has three children, the youngest one of whom is six years old.
Security forces stormed the home of Maryam Akbari Monfared and arrested her following the Ashura Day protests on 31 December 2009, and transferred her to Evin Prison. She was accused of "Moharebeh through membership in Mojahedin-e Khalgh Organization," though she repeatedly stated that she had no ties to the organization. Maryam Monfared was detained for months without detention orders.
On 6 May 2010, Branch 15 of Tehran Revolutionary Court sentenced Maryam Akbari Monfared to 15 years in prison and exile in Rajaee Shahr Prison on charges of "moharebeh," or enmity with God. The Judge presiding over the court said that the ruling was made "with consideration of Islamic kindness."
Maryam Akbari Monfared's sentence was upheld in its entirety by an appeals court, and was enforced when she was transferred from Evin Prison to Rajaee Shahr Prison on 27 September 2010. In May 2011 Maryam Akbari Monfared and many other female political prisoners were abruptly transferred from Rajaee shahr Prison to Gharchak Prison in Varamin. After public objections to the poor conditions of Gharchak Prison, they returned the prisoners to Evin Prison.
Several members of Maryam Akbari Monfared's family were political prisoners during the 1980's, four of whom were executed during the mass executions of late 1980's, according to Committee of Human RiGHts Reporters.

She "has three children, the youngest one six years old".
by Roozbeh_Gilani on Thu Mar 08, 2012 05:37 PM PSTI dont know about the rest of the readers of this site, but I feel desperately sad for her, her family and particularly for her little six year old...
No half civilsed state would perpetrate such injustice to a mother of three for simply attending a peaceful protest.
