The Guardian: Binyamin Netanyahu, the Israeli prime minister, invoked the spectre of Auschwitz as he chided those who question whether Iran is in pursuit of a nuclear weapon and warned that "none of us can afford to wait much longer" to act against Tehran. In an address to the powerful pro-Israel lobby in Washington, Netanyahu derided the effectiveness of sanctions hours after a meeting with Barack Obama at which the US president appealed for time for diplomacy to pressure Iran to open up its nuclear programme to inspection >>>

I wonder
by MRX1 on Wed Mar 07, 2012 07:46 AM PSTif the situation was reverse: Isreal did not have any nuclear bomb and pursed to have one and Iran had many on top of that Isreali leadership talked about wiping Iran off the map on 7/24 basis for 30+ years and went so far as organized seminars right and left in it''s soil for biggest Iranian haters, what would the folks here will be saying now? I am not for any war but once in a while you have to put yourself in some one elses shoe and see things from their point of viewand may be then some things will start making sense.
Problem with America
by hirre on Wed Mar 07, 2012 01:31 AM PSTAmerica is run by:
1) Banks
2) Corporations
3) Lobby groups
And the above influence eachother aswell!
So when Barack didn't want to support Israel that much in the beginning of his career the above powers managed to change his mind. The reason is simple: "if you don't do that, we won't do this".
War of Choice -
by haftkhan on Tue Mar 06, 2012 10:19 PM PSTNorth Korea could endanger Japan just as much as Iran endangers Israel – Then why the world has not come running to Japan's side. Netanyahu's Israel has dictated the global agenda as no small state has ever done before. How Israel plays in and with the American politics is not seen in any other democratic and free foreign country, thanks to corruption on Capital Hill. The president of the United States, who won with a message of change, was forced to fold up, at lightning speed, the talk and planning for peace in the Middle East simply because Israel said "No." One day, soon perhaps, even in brainwashed America the questions may begin: Why another war in middle ea$t? What for? Is it right to sacrifice American’s interest and treasure and put more American soldiers in harm's way for the interest of Israel? Worst it is a war of choice. Therefore state sponsored terrorism by standards of international law.
Israel conduct reminds me of criminals that when caught
by Disenchanted on Wed Mar 07, 2012 01:09 AM PSTAnd this is the leader of the ONLY DEMOCRACY in the middle east!
by amirparvizforsecularmonarchy on Tue Mar 06, 2012 08:53 PM PSTI have a brilliant idea, wanna guess what? Lets all emulate Israel/usa and support democracy ONLY for Iran! Wow, Well done jewish people of Israel. I see you ddn't learn much from the fascists in the 1940's, except to become exactly like them. How much have you done to oppose the IRI????? 0, Zilch. How much have you done to support the IRI?????? Selling them Billions of Dollars of weapons including much of the advanced weapons they wanted. The issue is not whether Israel is Irans friend, and that the IRI is our enemy, the issue is which of all these filthy enemies will do the worst harm to Iran. In my opinion the USA by talking democracy the world over and in keeping extremist like the IRI in power. The last 35 years of USA's accomplishments in Iran haven't exactly been a source of pride for the USA, though the ability to conceal and cover up USA's actions with every single tool of power especially media has been noteworthy even though it relies too much on ignoramuses to not figure them out, which has been painfully effective thus far on Iranians.
BIbi and Khikhi
by jirandoust on Tue Mar 06, 2012 07:54 PM PSTWouldn't it be nice to send both Bibi and Khikhi (Khamenehei) into an arena and let them beat the crap out of each other and the rest of us people (Iranians and Isrealis) sit around and enjoythe game?
Re collateral damage!
by Arj on Tue Mar 06, 2012 06:40 PM PSTFor quasi-fascist thugs such as Netanyahu and Khamenei -- one of whom claiming to be the guardian of the Jews, and the other, that of Moslims -- human life is considered inevitable collateral damage, even those of their very own faith! Moreover, due to the racist nature of the Israeli system, Middle Eastern Jews (Sephardics) are considered inferior to the East European Jews (Ashkenazis) to begin with (just as Sunnies are seen as inferior to Shias by IRI) !
Ready for after war experience?
by Farfromheaven2002 on Tue Mar 06, 2012 06:35 PM PSTWe should expect to see our Iranian relatives with no hand, no leg or no eye welcoming us when we arrive in the Mehrabad airport.
Rest of our relatives with mental disablity have to stay at home (lucky ones?), a mental hospital or exploring grabage containers in the streets of Tehran (or this group are lucky ones?).
I don't have a strong heart and mind so I have to go to Afghanistan to be prepared in advance. Will it be worse?!
.........I forgot about the after-war chemical weapon radiations.

Here we go again.. Jewish ghettos in Iran
by Aarash4545 on Tue Mar 06, 2012 05:59 PM PSTAccording to a high-ranking IRI govenment official, all Iranian jews are being secretly moved to divers ghettos across Tehran and other big cities where sensitive army depots and barracks are located. They are also deporting Jewish families into ghettos near and around the nuclear facilities just in case of aerial attack by Israel. Let's see if BiBi will kill his own kinsmen first!
simple solution to this threat of war.....
by Roozbeh_Gilani on Tue Mar 06, 2012 05:48 PM PSTKhamaenei/Ahmadinezhad to abandon their wet dreams for a nuclear bomb and wiping Israel off the map.
In return, That'd delay their certain death - Gaddafi style- and removal of their islamic regime from the face of the earth for a few more years.......
Good deal I'd say, wouldnt you?

Islamic Republic is the real enemy of Iran
by hafez on Tue Mar 06, 2012 05:33 PM PSTI usually try to put myself in the other person's shoes when I have a conflict with them.
For the past thirty three years the Mullas have been very consistent in claiming that one of their major goals is the annahilation of Isreal. A country that has never harmed Iran. Ahmadinejad does not waste time to always declare in the same breath that Isreal must be destroyed, and by the way we are pursuing to build our own nuclear power infrastructure. If any of you beleive that the Mullas are not persuing to build a nuclear bomb, you live in a lala land.
Unfortunatley those statements by Ahmadinejad and the rest of the Iranian clergy by and large do not seem to outrage anyone on this site. Now suddenly when an Isreali prime minister seems to be defending his nation, all of a sudden everyone is pissed off.
Jews were almost annahilated only 70 years ago. I definitely do understand them being paranoid about the merderous Mullas who are nothing less than the Nazis.
Before making any predujemens about me, I would like to declare that as an Iranian I would fight until my last breath against whoever invades Iran. Just as other members of my family fought against the Iraqis. But at the same time, I fully understand and appreciate the fear and conerns of the people of Isreal.
The enemy of our nation are the Nazis ruling our homeland. Not Isreal.
Long Live Iran
I agree with massoud
by shushtari on Tue Mar 06, 2012 05:27 PM PSTthe jews owe their ASS TO IRAN.....
this guy doesn't know his history- if the persians were anti-semites, this fool and the rest of the jews in israel would not even been born!
it was king darius who saved their ass from babylon, and sent them back to build jerusalem!!!!
it's very ironic in a way, that now they are threatening the very nation that they owe their existence to !!!
having said this, I blame the filthy akhoonds for putting our nation and it's brave people, once again, in harms way!!!
they are a bunch of no good thieves who have mismananged iran's vast resources for their own benefit....
I hope there is no war, but if it does come to that- I pray that the jews bomb the hell out of khamenei's mansion first
Dear Prime Minister!!!!!!!

And , oh, one more thing, Fred and his cheerleaders on this site need to go back to Iran and starve to death or be nuked to pieces under the tight sanctions and the war that they are so desperately seeking for the ordinary Iranian people.
President Obama to GOP rivals: War in Iran not a game
by iraj khan on Tue Mar 06, 2012 11:32 AM PSTPresident Obama never liked the war mongering of Israelis even before he was elected to the office. I remember he even criticised Israel's Likude party.
This was reported today:
"At a news conference at the White House on Tuesday, President Obama lashed out at Mitt Romney and the other GOP presidential candidates for "the casualness with which some of these folks talk about war," saying their rhetoric on Iran reflects the fact that they "don't have a lot of responsibilities."
The president was asked about Romney's claim that "If Barack Obama gets re-elected, Iran will have a nuclear weapon." He responded first by pointing to his record, saying his administration has imposed "crippling sanctions" against Iran that have isolated the nation in an "unprecedented" way and significantly damaged its government economically.

300 vs. 0
by Fariba Amini on Tue Mar 06, 2012 08:54 AM PSTNever heard of a more arrogant man. The Palestinian issue is set aside, now the number 1 enemy is Iran. I wonder what he will do if he has to also bomb the Jews of Iran. There are still 20,000 Jews and they have not left.
Shouldn't they protect the Jewsish people everywhere?
or are Iranian Jews not Jewish enough?
Funny that the same Israel sold armaments to the same IRI and took their money!
Israel has 300 bombs- Iran has NONE.
But as Ehud Barak said, "only 500 iranians will die if they stay home."

A Persian Response to Natanyahu
by masoudA on Tue Mar 06, 2012 07:55 AM PSTSaw your address to AIPAC on TV last night…..I must say I was quiet disappointed and am now very concerned. It looked to me as if you and your gang have agreed to play the same role Saddam played in creating yet another no win war designed to frustrate Iran’s resources, while helping the rest of the world in mending crippling economies. It appeared to me, Obama’s bosses in Europe have convinced you to initiate a long war, one in which everyone with the exception of the people Iran and Israel shall benefit, even Russia and China,….. I truely HOPE I am wrong on this.
I also noticed you have a difficult time with history of the region and therefore distinguishing between the people of Iran and the nomad Islamist government running the country by way of force these days. You mentioned Jews will soon celebrate Purim, an event in which a Jewish girl named Esther was able to save the Jews from the wrath of the “Anti Semite” Persians! How ignorant and stupid of you Mr. President. First of all Esther was not just a Jewish Girl, she was the Queen of Persia, an empire you call “Anti Semite”, with a Jewish Queen! as well as her uncle serving as head minister in King Xerxes court. But I have a feeling you know all this, you know well how Esther and her parents and a rather significant Jewish population ended up migrating to Persia. Just in case you don’t, Esther parents were just a couple out of tens of thousands of Jewish slaves whom the Anti-Semite!!! king of Persia Cyrus freed from Babylon. Esther parents were amongst many thousands who did not wish to re-settle back around Jerusalem, they chose to live in under the protection of Cyrus, the king who was the first ruler on earth to declare freedom of religion. Benji, as one Persian, I warn you….Iranian people (Persians) are the only friend Israel has ever had in the Middle East, because of our belief system, and certainly not due to any blood-lines which connects you far more with your biggest foes the Arabs. Don’t lose the natural and historical alliance with the Persians.
This is a very good indication
by hirre on Tue Mar 06, 2012 07:42 AM PSTWell start the war already mr N, what is the problem? What are you waiting for?
Oh wait, there is just "one" problem...
This is a very good indication that Israel isn't able to handle Iran alone. It needs the US support. If the US until the end of this year or the next year gives Israel a "Go", then war is upon us....
The problem is that all hell will break loose in Israel if Iran is attacked. Hezbollah, Hamas etc will be extremly active. Israel will have to fight a foreign and domestic war but they will focus more on the domestic problems and let US troops do the hard work...

by Fred on Tue Mar 06, 2012 07:17 AM PSTBibi needs to allow some more time for the sanctions to break the back of the warmongering Islamist Rapists.
