Why does Obama refer to them Iranian regime?

Why doesn't he refer to them as Hezbollahis. He knows they are not Iranian, let alone Iranian regime. The day the US refers to them in the same light as it does to Taliban, is the day Iranians will be free. Our problem is that these Hezbollahis are being taken for Iranians by the world community.

And I dont know when was the last time, if ever, in our ancient homeland's history, when our people would look forward so much to a foreign leader's message of norouz, hoping for & debating the "hidden signs", pointing to their imminent release from the fear, misery, and poverty brought upon them by the home grown corrupt, murderering and thieving of leaders.

I disagree with you on one point:  He can't be gay. I have found this: "A potted plant symbolizes your reproductive system as this is where the seeds for new life are sown, cared for, loved and nourished to maturity. " Would't be there if he was gay.

You are correct about Farsi being in the english dictionary. I was previously unaware of this.But the word Deutschland (Germany) also exists in the english language. Yet nobody would consider substituting it for Germany. Why not also use Espaniol? Why not use Nihongo?  Regardless, I think any  person who reads about the issue would be supportive of using the word Persian when speaking English. The word Persian has been used in the English language for 500 years. Replacing it with Farsi robs everything the word Persian has come to represent. Even the academy of Persian language and literature advocates the use of Persian instead of Farsi.

erect tails can mean playfulness, or anxiety and fright.  Tail between legs usually means submission, unless the cat is sleeping, at which time, they have a tendenecy to sometimes tuck their tails between their legs to avoid being stepped on while asleep.  

So, Ari, since you're a master of non verbal communication

what do the four stars of the flag mean?  Why not all 50 of them?  There's got to be a message there?  Four branches of the military perhaps?  Marines, Air Force, Army and Navy (left out the Coast Guard?!!!)

At least you're starting to look beyond the words. Good first step to learning the alphabet of nonverbal communication--such as painting and music for example. Soon you may string the alphabet together to form words, and later may even think in non-verbal sentences. Of course all this time you will need to tutor yourself (or take classes) in what various symbols have meant in different stages of history from place to place. As a basic starter, can you tell why in the Lion and Sun symbol the lion's tail is always lifted and not between his legs? Hint: don't attempt a joke, unless it's really a creative one.

1) Obama will only win four states in 2012;

2) His power only extends to four states;

3) He's putting the other 46 up for sale.

Also, the color of the wall behind him is red, which could mean any of the folloiwng:

1) He wants blood;

2) He's a vampire;

3) He's gay.

Lastly, there is a potted plant in the background, which could mean one or more of the following:

1) He's growing weed at home;

2) He considers his role as president akin to that of a potted plant;

3) He wants a salad.

There is not an atom of doubt that Farsi is our language........You might as well go further back and call it "Parsi"............but I'm afraid that may tingle you up even more.................

Obama is on a war path with Iranians and Couldn't care less

about Iranian Freedom or Culture.  If America wanted anything good for Iran they would not have supported the Mullahs and continue to love them for iran, or use their extremists in Libya, Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq etc.  Obama represents the height of insincerity & hypocrisy, he should go preach to the Iraqi's, the Afghans, the Libyans, the Syrians etc He'll have more success communicating with them than us Iranians after what the USA did to Iranians & the late Shah.   There is only one leader that can deliver the national norooz greeting who's sincerity is not under question, the leader of an institution that defends and represents Iranian Culture for several thousand years. The olive branch is in Obama's gentle verbal message. The arrows visually represent the harsh side of U.S. diplomacy with Iran which Obama does not verbalize. This videographer is a seasoned pro, quite familiar with historic American symbololgy and well aware of the situation he has been asked to participate in. The White House does not hire emam moghavaai artists. Anonymous Observer is certainly anonymous but not much of an observer today.

Farsi VS Persian

It's so stupid how the word Farsi is becoming so commonly used when talking about the Persian language in the west, as you can see in this message from Obama. The word Farsi does not even exist in western vocabulary, Persian should always be used in this situation. It's the equivalent of saying Nihongo instead of Japanese when referring to the Japanese language. You would never hear someone say "We are using Nihongo on facebook, twitter and google plus".

Persian is also more recognisable in the western world than Farsi. The word Persian is what our civilisation and culture is recognised by. The word Farsi would mean nothing to the average person.

I rather neither AN or Obama send us any greetings for No-Rooz.   AN, I know he is anti-No-rooz, his greeting was just like his 7 sin - a fake.   As for Obama - he has yet to figure out the difference between Iranians and the anti-No-rooz Islamic Republic.....

Dear all - Please make sure you don't write Now-Rooz or Naw-ruz, as you all know well it is No - meaning new, written and pronunced the same as a simple no.  Naw is something that may have come from one of Obama's arabic speaking consultants..... He has it as Nowruz on the State Department Website.
