just as i told you amin. i
by hamsade ghadimi on Wed May 16, 2012 06:53 AM PDTjust as i told you amin. i stand corrected with the rationalization of iri apologists. while the iri apologist asks for a break for mosques after 34 years, she fails to mention iri's hefty annual budget for mosques ($60+ million in 2008 and much more today), its already tax-exempt status, and other government contribution via the public works budget (e.g., improvement of surrounding of the mosques). :)
Mosques make me vomit. Smell of dirty basiji feet.
by Liberated on Tue May 15, 2012 11:56 PM PDTAfter all these years in the US when I walk by a mosque i get an uneasy feeling in my stomach and want to vomit. Remindes me of the smell of dirty feet of arab worshiping agents of regime. Mosques better be turned into night clubs or schools where for a change iranians can learn science and reason instead of arab superstition.
Stop making excuses for the these charlatans who use religion as an excuse to kill young iranians.
This should be a nonissue once...
by IRANLOVESISRAEL on Tue May 15, 2012 05:54 PM PDTIsrael/US make these structures the main target of their strike! In fact, after the destruction of these places and a friendly government in Iran both US and Israel will rebuild them as schools for the free youth of Iran.

by Soosan Khanoom on Tue May 15, 2012 01:06 PM PDTHe is the last standing annoying ID on this site... he has a habit of following my comments and talking BS. . I guess he has not yet got over Nilofar Parsi ... Now back to your question Amir.
If you consider the amount saved by churches in not paying the tax then you can see how much higher it is compare to the utility bills. That just came up to my mind by seeing this blog and I said that because I was surprised that it took IRI 34 years to let the mosques have some break. Now if that is the case with all the places of worships and not just mosques, then that is ok, but if it is only for Mosques, then it is another hypocritic move by IRI. At least in this country it covers all sort of religions ...
amin jan, there is no link
by hamsade ghadimi on Tue May 15, 2012 12:42 PM PDTamin jan, there is no link between tax exempt status of religious institutions in u.s. and mosques getting their utilities paid in iran. this is a strategy by iri apologists to distract attention from iri's policies which run the spectrum of asinine to psychopathic. if you criticize treatment of political prisoners in iri, they will talk to you about guantanmo bay and rapes in u.s. prisons. if you talk about election fraud in iran, they talk about bush 2000 election. if you talk about inequality of men and women in iran, sure enough you'll get a google-researched list of such inequalities in u.s. or the west. not to mention injustices to the palestinians at the hands of israelis. and so on...
fun fact: sidewalks around mosques in iran are well maintained. as soon as the property of mosques ends, the potholes in the sidewalks begin. now, let's relate sidewalks of mosques in iran to tax exempt status of religious institutions in u.s.
Tax-Exempt?
by Amin Neshati on Tue May 15, 2012 12:26 PM PDTSoosan Khanom, I must have blinked & missed something. How is tax-exempt status the same as getting a free ride on utility bills?
There is a saying that if
by Soosan Khanoom on Tue May 15, 2012 09:06 AM PDTThere is a saying that if this is God's nation then God has to pay taxes too ... referring to the churches in the U.S that are tax exempt ....
The fact that the mosques in Iran until now were paying something by itself is quite impressing compare to all the free rides Churches , synagogue and mosques are getting in the U.S !!
