Nima Arkani-Hamed: Understandig of the universe

Princeton professor

Professor Nima Arkani-Hamed of the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton, NJ, whose Messenger Lectures on our understandig of the universe at the most fundamental level were featured at this recent blog, talks briefly about the most important developments of the past couple of decades in that field and future direction of inquiry. (The portrait behind him is that of the late Pakistani Nobel laureate Abdus Salam, who was a co-developer of the Standard Model of particle physics, so the location is probably the Abdus Salam ICTP in Trieste, Italy.)

Great ACCOMPLISHMENT By AN IRANIAN!

by P_J on

I saw this gentleman talking about the “String Theory”.   He was introduced as a Harvard professor in particle physics.   Einstein, in his later years, spent time and effort in unifying aspect of all physical laws/theories into ONE.    String Theory, if proven would do just that!

Mr. Nima Arkani-Hamed is considered to be one of the premier scientists in that highly challenging and complex field of endeavor that could transform our 3 dimensional world into 11, if proven.

I HIGHLY congratulate this gentleman!

Arkani-Hamed's affiliation

by maghshoosh on

The current subtitle of this blog, chosen by the admin, identifies Arkani-Hamed as a "Princeton professor," which would usually imply a professor at Princeton University.  Although, both are located in Princeton, NJ, the Institute for Advanced Study and Princeton U. are separate institutions.  Arkani-Hamed is at the former.
