اما در مورد نرخ جدید ارز. دولت ایران ارز را بقول خودشان به مبلغ 1280 تومان تک نرخی کرد. این نرخ شامل دانشجویان، مسافران (بطور محدود) و بازرگانانی که اجازه رسمی (بخوانید وابستگان به دستگاه) دارند می شود.

این نرخ جدید 10 تا 25 در صد بالاتر از نرخ قبلی دلار دولتی می باشد. بعبارت دیگر از آنجا که دولت نفت را به دلار می فروشد، ولی حقوق کارمندان را به ریال پرداخت می کند، توانست یکشبه 10 تا 20 درصد به در آمد خود اضافه کند. از طرف دیگر مردم با سرعت پول خود را به سکه و یا ارز تبدیل کرده و ثانیاً دولت با بالا بردن سود بانکی و قاچاق اعلام کردن خرید و فروش ارز به طور آزاد، تصمیم به کنترل ارز کرد.

Vildemose, sanctions are harming all businesses and people

the authorities are impacted less as they can get money from other sources like controlingl the currency exchange and are making good profits, i hope eventually the income they are losing will not be made up by currency manipulaton, though it may be an optimisitic view of a regime that doesn't care for its own peoples suffering.

This is a perfect time to turn to God, after 33 years of

failure, a little more focus on true God is the answer.  I am serious, since  1 dollar used to be 17 toman, cost of goods were cheaper, year on year, when people listened to a secular clergy and faced a real god.  Now is the time to Pray for a return to secular government.  I Pray the shah and his team of individuals are prepared to come back and for the people to enjoy the legitimacy of irans Monarchy based on the justness of the results produced and their service for the good of society.  Not based on a system of purchasing a reputation and purchasing a position.

To get rich on the back of Iranian people by crooks and charlatans both inside and outside of the country.  I hope any illicit profit/money made as a result of these sanctions or its advocacy of it both by insiders like Sepah/Basij or outsiders are spent on Dava o Doktor in the worse possible way.

yes, keep blaming the shah, who with oil at 20/barrel made iran into an economic superpower, while the theiving akhoonds, have had oil at 100/barrel giving them TRILLIONS in revenue over the past 30 years, and they have either stolen it or given it to arab terrorists!

My prediction

dollar will hit 5000, then 10000, 100000, and then you will wake up one day and it will be 1or 2 million tomans!!!

All prices in Iran have sky rocketed , people can not afford basic things like food and cloths for their family and kids!  unlike 2009 this is about servival of their  family and kids ! you will see mass demonstrations and chaos against the incompetent IRI really soon. something that you have not ever seen before!

When she asked for that chart to be shown and it wasn't, if it was intetional as it would depict a visual exponential rise of price of dollar and the gap between what the givernment sets and what it is being sold for.

There is no end in sight. I wonder what the price of dollar is in iran today, probably hovering around 4000 toman.

The only way the IR can get dollars is by selling oil, but the countries that buy the oil won't pay (that much) in dollars, it's either in rupies, yuan etc... Exchanging those currencies to dollars will have its fees, that's why the price for dollar goes up along with mismanagement....
