HRANA: Political prisoner Mohammad Nazari, has embarked on a hunger strike to protest his conditions in prison. Mohammad Nazari has sewn his lips together.
Mohammad Nazari was arrested in 1992. He has been in prison for more than twenty years on charges of "contact with the Democratic Party of Kurdistan." He was first sentenced to death, but at appeals level his sentence was reduced to life in prison. He has not been allowed a single day of furlough over the past twenty years, and remains inside Rajaee Shahr Prison in Karaj.
According to HRANA, Nazari has repeatedly asked judicial authorities for a review of his case and his conditions, but his requests have never been addressed. Nazari's family have also been pursuing his case in the Iranian Judiciary for five years, but have been unable to receive any attention from judicial authorities.
"Mohammad was only 22 when he was arrested 20 years ago. He had not engaged in any armed activities. His was only involved in propaganda and should not have to spend his entire life in prison. We have followed his case for five years, asking for his release, but authorities from the Judiciary do not respond to our requests," said a source close to Mohammad Nazari.
In a letter from prison dated 22 August, 2012 in which he described his cellmates, imprisoned Iranian journalist Bahman Ahmadi Amouee wrote, "Mohammad Nazari was 22 when he was arrested. He is now spending his twentieth year behind bars, but he looks like he is 60 years old."

ننگ بر آنانیکه از این زندانیان شجاع برای هدف شخصی خود سؤ استفاده میکنند
Iranians of all walks of life taking a stand for their freedom and just rights. They are to be commanded and supported by all freedom loving folks.
Iranians need to stand united in their support for these brave souls, support their goals and aspiration for a free independent and prospers Iran.
Foreign nations which thru their apartheid policy practice the same insanity and unjust detentions cannot be a good example for the future of Iran and need not to apply.

What a tragedy....what an absolute tragedy....
by Anonymous Observer on Sun Sep 02, 2012 07:06 PM PDTAnd our people are busy talking about the kababs that they had during their last summer trip to Iran and about Israel not signing the NPT. That's why Nazari has been rotting in jail for the past 20 years...shame...
Overthrow the cowardly shiite dictators occupying Iran
by asadabad on Sun Sep 02, 2012 06:37 PM PDTI feel bad for Mohammad Nazari. He made the mistake of thinking that this regime respects civilization and human dignitiy. What a surprise they gave him.
Let this be a lesson to anyone who thinks that the regime can be "reformed/transformed". His persecution will drive more Iranian Kurds and Sunni Muslims to push for a breakup. His tormentors are animals and their brutality and depravity have no bounds.
A lot of people speak out against federalism or a breakup of Iran. I think that the Baluch, Arabs, Kurds and Azeris would be better off separated from the shiite barbarians persecuting them. Amputation is better than a slow painful death.
OH MY GOD!

Mohamade Nazari Has spent 20 years in jail....
by Roozbeh_Gilani on Sun Sep 02, 2012 09:06 AM PDTWhy? Because he is an Iranian Kurd, who "contacted" a non violent kurdish political party...
Question: What is then the appropriate punishment for those who are now "in contact" with the corrupt, thieving, murdering, terrorist islamist regime, responsible for jailing, raping, torturing, murder of tens of millions of Iraniuans over the past 34 years?

Regime change for Mohammad's sake
by Fred on Sun Sep 02, 2012 07:45 AM PDTTo end 34 year long national nightmare, regime change by Iranians for Iranians is the only way out.
Backbreaking airtight sanctions, plus air/naval quarantine, in addition to logistical help from the sane world to the Iranian people to overthrow the reform-proof, Messianic Islamist Rapist is a must.
