Committee of Human Rights Reporters: Shiva Nazar Ahari, human rights activist, blogger, and a founding member of the Committee of Human Rights Reporters was arrested at Evin Prison Court on Saturday, September 8, and transferred to the prison's Women's Ward.
Following the disputed 2009 presidential election in Iran, Shiva Nazar Ahari was arrested twice and spent one year inside Evin Prison, 100 days of which were spent inside Intelligence Ministry's Ward 209 in solitary confinement. Later, Branch 36 of Tehran Revolutionary Court sentenced Shiva Nazar Ahari to four years in prison, exile to Rajaee Shahr Prison and 74 lashes on charges of "moharebeh (enmity with God)," "disrupting public order," and "propaganda against the regime."
After being summoned for enforcement of her sentence, Nazar Ahari appeared at Evin Prison last Wednesday, but prison authorities stated that because her sentence includes imprisonment inside another prison facility (Rajaee Shahr Prison), she would have to return to "Sentence Enforcement Unit" of the Evin Prison Courts on Saturday. After she returned to Evin on Saturday, she was transferred to the Women's Ward of Evin Prison.
Shiva Nazar Ahari was the 2011 recipient of the Theodor Haecker prize for "courageous internet reporting on human rights violations."

by caspiantiger on Sun Sep 09, 2012 07:07 PM PDTShe is not traceable! She is an IRI spy who has been spewing hatred all over this website. I guess, she needs to be doing something after losing her diplomatic immunity in Canada!
I'm with Fred
by caspiantiger on Sun Sep 09, 2012 06:12 PM PDTThere is great consensus among the Iranian diaspora that the current regime in Iran is a brutal dictatorship which has caused misery for most Iranians and brought us all shame and anguish. The Palestinian issue, however, has nothing to do with our compatriots. We neither caused it nor can solve it

ننگ بر آنانیکه از این زندانیان شجاع برای هدف شخصی خود سؤ استفاده میکنند
Iranians of all walks of life taking a stand for their freedom and just rights. They are to be commanded and supported by all freedom loving folks.
Iranians need to stand united in their support for these brave souls, support their goals and aspiration for a free independent and prospers Iran.
Foreign nations which thru their apartheid policy practice the same insanity and unjust detentions cannot be a good example for the future of Iran and need not to apply.

Change of Israeli regime for Fred's sake and all snow boarders
by MaryamJoon on Sun Sep 09, 2012 05:09 AM PDTThe only way to end Fred's nightmare is to over throw the Israeli government so that he can learn to live in peace along side Palestinians and take up snow boarding, like he has always wanted, instead of writing the same thing over and over again on the internet.
Regime change for Shiva's sake
by Fred on Sun Sep 09, 2012 05:06 AM PDTThanks to 34 year rule of the Messianic Islamist Rapists and their institutionalized gross violation of human rights, there are ever growing legions of their victims in Iran.
The only way to end this national nightmare is regime change by Iranians with the logistical help of the sane world.
Backbreaking airtight sanctions plus air/naval quarantine is a must.
