I am leaving Buenos Aires in less than a week. This is a tribute to a wonderful city I have so enjoyed for the past three months. (Many photos have captions.)

Tango Forever

by Faramarz on

JJ,

In case you have already left Argentina and are thinking about Tango, here is my favorite Tango by Carlos and Marcela.

When I grow old, I want to be just like him. I've already bought the bowtie!

And the expressions on her face, just incredible.

If you see somebody like her down there please let me know. I'll be on the next flight!

Argentina

Thanks Faramarz. The Argentinian economy is not the best but Argentinians are doing the best with what they have. Sort of :) It's moving along. They aren't too worried about tomorrow. The present is alright more or less :)

I had a really nice time here. It's a city worthy of its name and reputation. Other than breakdowns in internet access every single day, I have no complaints :)

Thanks for the pictures JJ

That very first picture of Iran Plaza looks like a tombstone in a neglected cemetery! So sad.

Thanks for sharing.

I love Argentina with all its natural beauty, but Buenos Aires always seemed like a fixer-upper kind of a city, with people not quite sure what tomorrow would bring.

No problem AO. You're not the only one to make that assumption. Our age difference is not that much. I was 20 when my daughter was born :)
