Though I knew that the Paykan was originally an English car, I thought I would not see one anywhere other than in Iran. But last week, I saw one in a plaza near the University of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. Don't you believe me? Take a look:

It is a Hillman it is coming back to me. This one was actually 2nd generation, 1st generation was this?

Hilman was a hatchback and it was the Avenger. The 4 door sedan like this is the Iranian Paykan. There is only ONE Paykan in the world and this is it! This is first generation Paykan. Forgot what was the last generation before it was discontinued probably P5 or P6.

This is not Peykan. This is British made Hillman Hunter which was assembled in Iran under the brand name Peykan.

که انگلیس در حکومت دویست ساله اش به ایران خدمتی نکرده است!

میلیارد میلیارد پوند یا مفت از ایران رفت، که "هر ایرانی یک پیکان داشته باشد". در حالیکه مرسدس بنز در همان زمان حاضر بود به قیمت پیکان ماشین در ایران تولید کند به شرط آنکه میزان رشوه کمتر باشد، که مورد موافقت قرار نگرفت چون انگلیسها رشوه را بالاتر بردند و حاکذا غیر النهایه.

این پیکان سال ۴۷ یا ۴۸؟ یا شاید هم ۴۹. فکر کنم پیکان از سال ۵۰ جلوی رادیاتش دو تایی شد، این جلوی رادیاتش یه دسته. قالپاقشم از ۵۰ به پایینه.

عجب پیکان شیک و تر و تمیزی هم هستش. باغش آباد شه. از این پیکان‌ها تو ایران گیر نمیاد. بد بخت شاید مثل حاجی آقای خودمون تو کانادا گیر کرده! بهش نمیاد تو کانادا بهش خوش بگذره!

میخاستی یک کاغذی چیزی تو برف پاکنش میزاشتی میپرسیدی چند میفروشه. در ضمن مارک پیکان هم نداره. شاید مثل بعضی‌‌ها از ایرانی‌ بودن خجالت میکشه!
