Solid political cartoon for the times! Hopeful and humorous with symbolism so familiar even children can decipher it. Congratulations!

Marjan Zahed Kindersley

Seemingly simple yet

by Marjan Zahed Kindersley on

the technical, excellent craftsmanship is used beyond the usual 'grammar', with a liberating,'naughty' sense of humour but leaving the bitter, acid-sharp taste of truth in one's mouth.

Additionally, I very much appreciate the fact that not only are these images appropriate to "current" events, but there is an underlying intution about humanity and its ridiculous status quo and also that each doesn't have just one instant message and demands more viewings.

(Over the years my "standard" for cartoons was a book called

"SHUT UP! cartoons for Amnesty" published by Stalling.

These are way above that standard.)

Thank you for your very hard work. Are these going to be published properly in bookform and exhibited in print?

Now I'm depressed!

by ghalam-doon on

I think the job of an artist is to observe, criticize and at the same time motivate.

I wonder if one could go through all of these cartoons without getting depressed/suicidal. He's a true artist but more on the depressing side.

Anonymouse

He is brilliant! I

He is brilliant! I think he may be implicating (for lack of a better word) the green movement on some of them like this one

Everything is sacred.

I had not seen Mana's work in a long time, except for one or two, and I didn't even know those were his. Mehrdad Aref-Adib recommended Mana's Facebook page and I was amazed at the artistry, vision and depth of meaning. I was especially moved by this one:
