These photographs are from a series called "Looking at the sky...". New works titled "Altered States of Reality: an Exhibition of Analog and Digital Fine Art Photography" are on display at the Agora Gallery, 530 West 25th St., in New York City. Reception: Thursday, October 29, 2009 6-8 PM. Exhibition Dates: 10/27/2009 - 11/17/2009. "When looking at a work by multi-disciplinary artist Toktam Tayefeh, one feels as though one is entering the space between waking and sleep. Whether working in paint on canvas or through high-tech digital imaging techniques, Tayefeh’s works have a feeling of otherworldliness, conjured completely in the imagination, and allow the viewer’s mind to wander and explore through the realm of the artist’s own dream space. Her works speak quietly to the viewer, beckoning the eye with peaceful rhythms and a gentle sense of energy and movement. The airplane shots are incredibly clear and beautiful! I also like #29, the lone-standing tree against the backdrop of cloudy evening sky.
