Folks when you go to mt. damavand... be verycareful for ضَحَّاک still might be alive despite being changed by Freydon in captivity...there are also evidence and report of bigh foot snow giant man lurking in the mountain who particularly at night might look for meaty pray...they say the entire body of brear grizzly amount to his first tsmall bite for his late late late dinner...
Beware! Stick to your friends...and never go alone...

Stories to share...
by Hassan Danesh (not verified) on Mon Feb 02, 2009 02:09 PM PSTWa back when I was attending tehran university as undergrad along with three of my good friends decided to climb to the top of mountain. Every curve in and of itself was a climax as it opened up to a new and then newer vista hidden in the lower altitude.
In between we bumped into a family who had hurds of goats and I asked them for milk and then they give it to me which made me sick as I climbed up a higher elavation.
Nonetheless I reached along with me friends to the last outpost before the summit-- I stayed out there with one of my friend as who took care of me and then the other in hurry in the early morning rushed to the airless smokey summit and rushed back to the "Panahgah."
On our way back down we were just sliding down like ski chapms with lovely pupies at our sight and at our reach...
O I still remember the excrutiating pain I went through the night because of that "Untimely" fresh presitine goat mil.
by the way did you know those who liv in high altitude end up having a larger lungs than those who live by sea as a biological adaptation to the thin air for oxygenation?

by The Greatest (not verified) on Mon Feb 02, 2009 07:16 AM PSTDear Babak & Oshin:
Thanks a million for sharing these beautiful shots with the rest of us. I am 54 years old and have made a promise to myself. Before my time is up and before leaving this earth I am going to try to climb Damavand! Ever since I was a kid growing up in Tehran I remember looking towards North and seeing Damavand at a distance. What a mesmerizing experience that was!
