They Call Me Arizona!
by HHH on Wed Aug 17, 2011 11:47 PM PDTYes, in poker room they call me Arizona. I moved here in 1990, stayed in Scottsdale for 10 years, then tried living in San Francisco suburbs for 8 years but missed Arizona again and came back. I don't like to live in Phoenix but Scottsdale is great, Sedona is beautiful and expensive. Sean Young lives there, so does Tom Sellek, Romina Power of AlBano & Romina just moved there. It's a quiet, natural place unless it's a holiday. If you want more natural environment then Prescott is the place, Watson lake is prettier than most postcards. It's a bigger city than Sedona with homes on hills, don't be surprized if you see Antelopes grazing by the road. If you like foresty areas, small rustic towns & antique-shops try Payson, there is a river & lake near Payson. For skiing drove 130 miles north of phoenix to Flagstaff and another 80 miles gets you to the Grand Canyon. You won't find any of the Los angeles traffic, grafitti, materialism & crazy life, any of San Francisco's chill, snob, overpriced, low quality homes and overregulation in Arizona. Arizona is affordable quality and 350 day sunshine.
Beautiful photos
