by Anonymous20xx (not verified) on Sun Jan 20, 2008 12:05 PM PSTDoorood bar shomah! I wish it were that simple. I was born in America (not Los AnHELLes, shokreh Khodah!) before the revolution, but still just seeing the depression my parents and people of their generation have as to how could they let 1979 happen, how naive they were just like Germans were about Hitler in 1933, and how embarrassed they are as to how the world looks down on our country after of the reign of the Khomeiniacs breaks my heart every day. And you know what, the revolution generation is now becoming elderly, so it's up to their children to do something. The solution? I don't know. Does Pahlavi have it? I don't know, but at this juncture ANYTHING looks but than the mullarchy just for the sake of befriending The West. I said befriend, NOT become, before you insult me! No mullarchy, no Hezbollah, Hamas become severely crippled (doesn't it strike you as odd how "our" government supports the Arab struggle against Israel when Arabs worldwide outnumber us 5 to 1 and have millions of their own wealthy people that could deal with this instead? How backwards is that?), our women would become empowered and can actually look like women instead of walking black tablecloths, and best of all, our families can return and live out the remainder of their lives and be buried in their homeland right next to previous generations instead of some damn kharej cemetary!
Well I'm done. I'm okay to listen to CONSTRUCTIVE opinions, if anything does the usual "kiram tooeh kos eh madaret" low class crap I see so often, I won't even respond. Respect begets respect.
How narrow minded is this???
by farzaneh joon (not verified) on Sun Jan 20, 2008 05:20 AM PSTAs much as "Zoorkhoneh" is great and all that. I have a problem with this here is how it goes...the guy goes to zoorkhneh to get fit,, (women can't go) so women go to "sofreh Abolfazl" and such to get together and eats a lot of food therefore she gets fat...
The guy doesn't think his wife is sexy any more he gets a second wife (much younger,,must be someone who can handle his athletic firm body) so you get the point I am trying to make.
The fact that there was no exercise for women bothers me.

What is wrong with us??
by Anonymous20XX (not verified) on Sat Jan 19, 2008 05:22 PM PSTAs long as we continue to blame each other for the events of 1979, we will NEVER progress as a society and will never be at peace with ourselves and the rest of the world! Young, old, kharej, people still in Iran, seculars, mahsahbis, Los Angelesis, we must all be Iranian first, everything else second, and only the can we function normally!
How come the walls of Zourkaneh
by Question (not verified) on Sat Jan 19, 2008 04:29 PM PSTare decorated with the portrait of a bunch of Arabs e.g., Imam Ali, Imam Hossein etc. This goes to show you that these pahlavoons are a bunch of Arabs!? I say to these lovers of Arabs to get a life. To all of you admirers of these Arabs, I say go screw yourselves!?
God Bless Alexander Medvid who kicked Takhati's ass in 1964.

by Movarekh (not verified) on Sat Jan 19, 2008 08:44 AM PSTIn the olden days, especially in the Qajar years, The Pahlevans who came out of these Zoorkhanehs, in many ways, acted as the Guardians and Protectors of people.
People such as Pahelan Yazdi Bozorg and others. It has a much deeper sense than just building their bodies :) It is a very spiritual thing!!

As I see everything from a political point of view I remember on the fact that this true partians sport was for long time a game tool for a person named SHAABAN JAFARI. he was, beside "GENERAL" Zahedi the one who helped the Iranian nation to become the slaves of strangers in thier ouwn country. the actual help came from CIA. To Iranian nation count - up to my opinion - today the ones who have founded thier ISLAMIC REPUBLIC of IRAN 1978/79, are living there annd are willing to protect what they have achieved in the last 30 years. To these achievnesses belong also the rehabilitated ZOORKHANEHs. Greeting
Thank you!

by XerXes (not verified) on Fri Jan 18, 2008 07:40 PM PSTI miss my friends in zoorkhuneh. They are missed and I would've loved to have my group to go to an Iranian gathering and watch them sell their lack of ideology to anyone to impress them. Oh we would've laughed and had fun. I miss those days. Ya Ali
