so beautiful
by Farideh (not verified) on Mon Mar 23, 2009 08:47 PM PDTI am thrilled that you are having such a good time. Buterfly sounds romantic.
I knew it! You are a Monarchist!
by eroonman on Mon Mar 23, 2009 06:28 PM PDTNow it all comes out finally!
So if I understand what you are saying is, that if you could be surrounded by Monarchs, you would die happy. HMMM.
Interesting political opinion. Now that I think about it, I am starting to see your point.
So, if we feed and take care of the Monarchs in the Winter (or during the harsh times), they will give us their beauty in the Spring (good times)!
I see!
So support RPII now when he is down, and trust in "nature" or when he is good and ready, and at that time, he will spread his "wings" for all to share in the "beauty" of his "Majesty"!
Secret Coded Message Received. I have your weather.
in your backyard
by Damavand on Mon Mar 23, 2009 05:46 PM PDTYou can see these butterflies right at your backyard in Santa Cruz Natural Bridges park during their migration.
Just google it and you will find out about the time to expect them. Here is a link for some of the pictures:

Visit during winter
by Jahanshah Javid on Mon Mar 23, 2009 09:17 AM PDTThanks Shahin. I'm glad you enjoyed the photos. I believe the best time to see them in Mexico is in the winter months -- January, February and March. In early spring they begin their migration up north, ending in Canada. In October they start flying south again.

When is best time?
by Shahin S (not verified) on Mon Mar 23, 2009 09:10 AM PDTWhat a wonderful journey wherever you are. I really enjoyed the pictures and your memos. What is the best time for watching monarch butterflies?
Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeautiful
by michelle (not verified) on Mon Mar 23, 2009 08:31 AM PDTthanks jj joon, i didn't believe it until i saw your pictures, i'm so happy for you.
It is great that you're
by Pia (not verified) on Mon Mar 23, 2009 07:43 AM PDTIt is great that you're having fun, and your new pic avatar looks cool. The butterfly trip looks nice, but I don't exactly get that "thing" or excitement from it that you've experienced. Driving three hours.... hmmmm...
I don't like the new anonymous avatar, it is too busy looking, specially for it's size. A curvy big fish with a more simplified background, would have made it a better painting. The phrase less is more, definitely applies to this new avatar.
Painting
by JD (not verified) on Mon Mar 23, 2009 06:53 AM PDTVery nice report and photos. Number 42 looks like a painting and perhaps a good alternative candidate photo for the "anonymous" names which currently is fish (because of Nowruz). Thanks
This is the most beautiful
