Jesus is Jealous

Photo essay: Che Guevara in Buenos Aires

Che was born in Argentina, fought in Cuba, died in Bolivia and became a legend everywhere. Every country I've been to I've seen him painted on walls and printed on posters, mugs and t-shirts. Hanging on key-chains. Tattooed... I read his book on the Cuban economy when I was 18 but I was more taken by his poster showing him staring at eternity with stony confidence. There's something in that look that has made his image more popular than Jesus. Here he is in Buenos Aires:

Looks like Jesus has got some stiff competition in the jealousy department -- for the usual CIA/SAVAK smear campaign is at work!!!

Here is the Buena Vista Social Club's version of Hasta Siempre: //www.youtube.com/watch?v=v7aAimlAzok

The secret of love!

by Arj on

He's loved by the people of Latin America (and to an extent, all over the world) not just because he was a revolutionary, but because he was an altruist and humanitarian who despite being born into wealth, decided to live his life with and for the impoverished and deprived peoples all across South America!

That's how heroes live and die in the people's heart, earning their eternal love and respect!

Dear Soosan

by Anahid Hojjati on

I don't know what is the right answer about why we don't have Laylee and majnun like those times. Perhaps we still do. Those two were very young and I am middle aged so I write from the perspective of someone not in her 20s. During a person's middle ages, I believe people have complicated lives and even romantic love has to fit in their lives. If a love does not fit in their lives, many people just give up on it. Certain sacrifices are acceptable but usually people cannot afford to go Majnun over someone they love. I have to note that I am no authority on this subject.

To love someone is different than to fall in love

by Soosan Khanoom on

To love someone is different than to fall in love . Falling in love is beyond any measure and control ...it is an amazing phenomena ... And it is not just bwteen two lovers ....  Consider a mother and her unconditional love..how is it that after going through the burden of giving birth as soon as you set your eyes on your newborn you become numb to all the pains. You find yourself in tears and joy rather than of the pains of the inhumane tortures that you endured giving birth.

Having said all the above I think I see your points here.  It is very hard these days to find a maJnun or to be one? cause it is simiallry hard to find someone like laylee... so these days realionships are mostly based on what is it there for me?  Or, perhaps, because these days no one really falls in love...

Thanks Soosan jan

by Anahid Hojjati on

yes. You cleared it but when I love someone, I don't forget about myself. So I think your definition of love is to forget oneself but I believe not only me but many modern people don't forget themselves in the process of loving someone else.

I said there that here is something on love ... the sufi way

by Soosan Khanoom on

Giving the fact that Hafez is as an Spritual and Sufi master. Where else I could have posted it but on a blog that is dedicated to Hafez and his beautiful poetry?

Love is all about making sacrifices.. . Love is to give not to take.  Love makes one forget all about herself or himself but only and only the beloved... That is why a lover is crazy just like majnun ... that is why to be in love is the best feeling in the world.

For a sufi, however, it is the love of God something that can be found in every teaching and every single poem that they have written ..

I hope that has cleared it for you.

Soosan Khanoom, your comments are so unique

by Anahid Hojjati on

The other day, on HFB's blog, you wrote in a way about love that you convinced me if this is love, I never want to be in love. You made love like a huge sacrifice and like a person has to be on cross for love almost. Now this one was not as dramatic. But I just wanted to let you know girl that your love comment on HFB blog made me not to ever want to be in that kind of love.

Jesus was a revolutionary at his time

by Soosan Khanoom on

Do not look at his distorted image today that he was killed for our sins... bla blas........  Of course when they cannot take away his love from the people's heart they will try hard on the next best thing which would be taking away his ideology. Most people love him without knowing what he really stood for and , sadly, in the reality of today's world they cannot rely on his distorted image anymore....

As I mentioned Jesus was a revolutionary at his time... first move when he entered Jerusalem was to destroy the bankster given money with usury level interest. He broke all their stands and stores. "Jesus called the *Pharisees ‘graves that men have painted white’. They looked good and holy on the outside. In fact, their lives were selfish and greedy.  "

" Becareful, " Jesus said to people."Be on your guard against the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees"

I wonder what he would do today with THE banksters that are ruling the world.
