by bambi on Tue Jan 18, 2011 03:00 PM PSTFrom an abstract viewpoint, I liked the coloration of the photos, but it didn't do much else for me, such as an inspiration to visit. I did not like it as a travel photo essay, as I prefer them to be objectively oriented, frank, and a bit more comprehensive. And being blurry, generally does not help, unless a statement is being made by that. This photo essay, struck me as trying too hard with the color theme, forgoing other angles about photography and the city.
Blinding
by Dirty Angel on Tue Jan 18, 2011 02:09 PM PSTExcept for 3 shots that were almost in focus, the whole lot is out of focus for no legitimate reason whatsoever - a dreadful, demanding pain to the eye - REALLY painfull! ; the playing around with magenta and contrast as a cover-up, made it worse.
Please, JJ,is so much blurred on this website because of some system with file sizes (no, I don't mean this blog in particular, as it's just totally off any eyeball) ?

by yolanda on Mon Jan 17, 2011 07:00 PM PSTThe colors of the photos are so rich that they look like canvas paintings. Maradona's poster is in the photo collection........I am surprised that a country named after "Silver" does not produce a lot of silver......but it does have silver deposits!
Thanks for these beautiful Pictures, Sahar Khanoom.
by Princess on Mon Jan 17, 2011 03:42 PM PSTArgentina, the birth place of Che, is top on the list of places to visit, and of course Patagonia. There are so many things I already love about Argentina.
Thanks for sharing!

Didn't Yasari or Aghasi or another Laleh Zaar singer sing this song as well? I couldn't find it! It says; I came to your "street" and your "house" and your "door" but you weren't there! Now come on, tell me, tell me, tell the truth, where have you been?!
Everything is sacred

by Faramarz on Mon Jan 17, 2011 11:26 AM PSTLa Bombonera, named after a bombón (chocolate) box is the stadium that the most popular Argentinean team Boca Juniors plays in it. It looks like a bombón box because it is round and tall and as such very noisy and intimidating for the visiting teams. Like most soccer stadiums around the world it is not the safest place for tourists.

by bajenaghe naghi on Mon Jan 17, 2011 11:09 AM PSTI thoroughly enjoyed the kaleidoscope of colors in your pictures. I specially loved the ones taken without a flash, bringing out all those wonderful vivid colors.
Thank you Faramarz too!
by Monda on Mon Jan 17, 2011 10:32 AM PSTOn your helpful trip advisory... only one thing though, what do you mean by: Go to Bombonera "at own risk"??
Nice Pictures of Buenos Aires
by Faramarz on Mon Jan 17, 2011 09:47 AM PSTThank you.
But before everyone start booking your trip to Buenos Aires, here is my 2 cents!
Argentina is a beautiful country with vast natural resources and so much potential. If you are going there, make sure that you know some local people and don’t spend too much time in Buenos Aires. Aside from the tango and the balcony at Casa Rosada where Eva Perón gave her speech and the Florida Street tourist area, there are not too many interesting places or buildings to see.
Now, the country side and the ranches are a different story all together. There is so much natural beauty there. Mar Del Plata and Necochea are also worth a visit.
If you like grilled meat of any kind (goat, beef, sausages, etc.) there are Churrascarias everywhere and the quality is always good. Put some Chimichurri on your beef and have a cold Quilmes or a glass of good wine from Mendoza.
Argentineans are extremely proud people and the subject of many jokes all over South America. It’s been said that, “Argentineans are Italians who speak Spanish and consider themselves British!” Or, “If you can buy an Argentinean for what he’s worth, and sell him for what he thinks he’s worth, you will make a lot of money!”
For the soccer fans, a trip to Bombonera where Boca plays is a must, but go at your own risk!
Gorgeous!
by Nazy Kaviani on Mon Jan 17, 2011 09:09 AM PSTHow beautiful! Sooooo, that's what you've been up to?! Thanks for letting us see the joyful Argentina through your playful view. I loved every one of them!

by Red Wine on Mon Jan 17, 2011 07:39 AM PSTI like Argentina, Cordoba, Buenos Aires, Santa Fe ... I like Argentina. There always ask me with a nice accent in Spanish, you hear Persian boy, where are you going? I smile and say that there ... where I get lost between tango dance and wine and of course.. women ! I like to dance tango with them... to talk about passion and about feeling with morena argentinian girls.
I always feel the love of many loves, pain with many sorrows of mind and tired body a cruel world ...
I like Argentina.
