The Mossadegh Foundation Library of Iranology was created by Dr. Mossadegh's grandson in Geneva, Switzerland, in 2000 to preserve the legacy of the great statesman as well as Iranian history. To further expand both the Foundation and the library donations are welcomed by all those who love democracy and want to support the legacy of the late Mossadegh. Please directly contact the foundation for further information Tel: 011 41 022 300 37 55. "After studying in Iran, Dr. Mossadegh lived in Switzerland from 1906 to 1913, in which year he became a Doctor of Law at the University of Neuchâtel. The democratic and liberal dimension of this political leader should be realised; his life was devoted to promoting the national independence of Iran and in particular the use of the income from its oil resources for the flourishing of his country. The Mossadegh Foundation wishes to contribute to safeguarding the memory of the thought of this statesman." >>> mossadegh.com

it's still about Iran's energy and the West
by Sargord Pirouz on Tue Dec 01, 2009 03:46 AM PSTMossadegh would well understand the valiant stand Iran is making in sticking up for its nuclear energy rights under the NPT. The issue is actually not that far removed from the central energy issue of his day- the oil industry. But thankfully, Iran is not the weak country it was in 1953. And independence and energy rights will not be denied the way they were sixty years ago.
The man who had wisdom
by Fariba Amini on Mon Nov 30, 2009 08:10 AM PSTDr. Mosaddeq wrote his thesis (some 300 pages) on the law of inherticance in the Shi'a religion. He believed wholeheartedly in the seperation of state and religion. He knew what disaster it would bring to Iran if they were combined. Religious elements such as Kashani first supported him but when Kashani insisted on having some clerics in the government and Mosaddeq refused, he turned his back on him. After sixty years, we see the devastating results....
Thank you!
by water on Sun Nov 29, 2009 11:09 AM PSTHello,
I didn't know about this library, it seems very interesting to me. I wanted to take off 2 or 3 days in order to go somewhere to relax a bit but I was not sure where to go.
After seeing these pictures and the info about the library I know where the journey will go.
